Great makeup blender for BODY & face. Extra large size works fantastic on both surfaces. Soft but not mushy. Cleans fairly East. One thing I noticed, it is prone to small tares but for the price, you can always buy more than 1 at a time.

I use this sponge to apply foundation to my neck and face. I had seen it used in a make up tutorial and decided to try it for myself. I was hesitant because it is marketed as a body sponge; however, it is awesome! Because of its larger size, not only is it faster, but it also gives my face and neck a “smooth” finish. I get it wet, squeeze out the excess water, squeeze a dime sized (maybe smaller) amount of foundation directly on the sponge, then blot and blend. I usually use this to blend my concealer and sometimes I use it for foundation. I wash it once or twice a week and it's pretty difficult to clean it up but everything blends beautifully. I have been using beauty blenders for years and years. I like them but I have noticed over time that the quality has come down - after only a month of use they start leaving little specks of foam on my face - i.e. breaking down way too soon. Given that a great makeup brush costs between $15 and $40 and last me for over a decade, I have a hard time paying $20 for a sponge that can't last a month. So I looked into dupes and most of the influencers led me right here to this product. Imagine my surprise when I unpacked it. It is HUGE! See the photos next to the Hourglass double ended ball brush. That ball end is huge on my face so I only use it for bronzer. the pointed tip I use on the rest of my face. This sponge is way too big to use with any precision on a face. I understand that it is listed as for Face and Body but unless you have a huge face there is no way you're avoiding getting product on your hairline, eyebrows, lashes, etc. OK so I used it once for foundation. I DO LIKE the application texture. I think it applies better than the BB to be honest so if it wasn't so big maybe I'd like it more. Then came cleaning. I couldn't get the makeup to come out of it. So I wonder what kind of germs are hanging out in there over time? Also noticed that it tore a bit from one use and one wash. See the photo. I didn't treat it harshly. I didn't wring it out. I didn't try to cut it. I did wash it with some coconut oil liquid soap under running water. Overall: I don't recommend this for the face. Body: maybe. But watch out for the cleanup and be careful as it seems just as much if not more delicate than a BB. ... show more
