I needed new sponges to apply my under eye concealer and little spots of concealer around my nose and on old acne scars. I apply as light a layer of concealer as I can get away with and these sponges are perfect for that. Some off brand sponges are too hard or too porous to apply the concealer nicely but these are the perfect texture and density for my needs. I do wet them and squeeze the excess water before using. If you do this, make sure to let them air dry, or mold may grow. I wish they were a bit smaller to allow me to get under my eyes better, but I can just squeeze them to a smaller shape while using. ... show more

I love real techniques, In fact, I don’t think I dislike any bit of all of their brushes. On the contrary, I own lots of them, repeated, and they are staples for me, fabulous value for money and outperform many high end brands. They demonstrate you can have quality products for the right price. For all this, the performance of mini sponges was not expected. In fact, I was not ready to hate them so much, so ... what a bummer. The concept is kind of good, nothing new, use these little sponges to get in the difficult corners of your face like undereye concealer and precision work in general, like dot concealing, or even blush and highlighter with a more satin finish using I am damp. But the execution is horrible. First, these sponges are not so mini, so no precision work, whatsoever. They are more like a beauty blusher with more corners. So reaching the challenging angles.. Ewww no. Second, they absorb an insane amount of product. I mean all sponges will drink product, but in this case was way too much. But the third, and worst, for me it’s how stiff and scratchy they are. You might think that the mini beauty blender is too mini, and that’s the like of everyone, but at least they are smooth and stippling with them is so easy. The mini RT are rough, uneven and gave me the chills dragging or stippling. So, for the same price or less, get an RT concealer brush, much softer, and that really does the jobs, because these… well, they don’t even blend well. Maybe someone thinks I'm crazy, but seriously, so many other options for the same price. ... show more
