Took me a while to get a spot to sight this but finally. Likes - after putting my scop in my mount thinking i was close to 0-0 and level.. haha was i wrong.. lossened my mount ring a hair and viola level scope crosshair. This made my boresighting much easier a lil later. Cons - nice flashlike that is rechargable but it could be a bit brighter.. i was using a lvpo 1x8 and it was a little dim coming out back. Overall nice tool... might be a while before i use it again but it is good. ... show more

I had several scopes that just didn't quite track as they should I have been using small magnetic bubble levels with my gun in a ball mounted vice (this is a very important tool to have) then when you use this and project the reticle on the wall it's very easy to align and tighten down while watching the wall you are projecting to. This thing is temperamental and I’m not sure it’s any more effective than traditional scope levels. I was using it on a Leupold VX-3I 4.5-14X40 CDS-ZL DUPLEX scope. The light was so dim that I had to set the whole thing up in my garage and exclude all light in order to see it. Yes, I went through all of the light settings. (The settings should be called dim, dimmer, dimmest.) When it’s dark enough to actually see the projection of your reticle, you can’t see the guide lines on the little screen. It’s just not well executed at all. Here’s a tip to manufacturer…..you need a MUCH brighter light to make this work. The on/off switch for the light is directly in front of a large adjustment screw. There is about 1/4” between the two. It is difficult to get to the on/off switch. It becomes super frustrating when I was having to constantly turn my garage light off, turn the reticle level light on, turn my flashlight off and on to see my rifle and scope while trying to assess the dim reticle projection. Just laughably poor. Finally, this is the dumbest part of the design here. Do you have a nice scope? Do have a flip-up lens covers to protect your objective view (the barrel end of your scope? You will have to remove it for this unit to work with your scope. There can be NOTHING on the front end of your scope for this thing to have at hope of working at all. Leupold flip ups screw into the end of your scope. If your scope is close to your barrel, you have to take your scope off of your rifle in order to screw the flip-up cover back on. So, you just took it off to level your reticle. To put the flip up back in you woukd have to remove the scope again. Totally useless. You can choose between a straight reticle or a flip-up cover. It totally defeats the purpose. Man, they did not see that one coming and probably should have. This thing probably seemed like a great idea to someone but the execution of this product is far from good. Skip it. You’ll save yourself some money and a huge headache by just getting some scope levels. ADD ON: This company knows their product is terrible. They won’t let you return it on Amazon. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! ... show more

Received the item some time ago, have not had time to use it until last night. After reading the detailed instructions I found it was not as complicated as thought. I found three scopes that i previously mounted to be off vertical by a fraction, was able to align with out issue. Have not check the accuracy due to weather but will do so and report back when I do. ... show more

I've used the Real Avid scope leveling kit several times. I can say from experience that it makes the process easy for an average person to mount and align his own scopes. The adjustable torque limiting driver, which is accurate to 2-3 inch pounds, is also easy to adjust and operate.
