  • Great product at small price
I am happy with this purchase. I assembled the tube at both ends of the bulb and then cut the tube near the middle so that I have about the same amount of tube coming into the bulb as going out. I was draining gasoline out of my generator. First attempt didn’t work because I had the wrong end of tubing in the gas tank. When I switched and put the other end of the tubing in the tank the bulb did it’s job and the gas flowed into my gas can easily. ... show more

  • Cleans and drains my water fountain in no time
I bought this to vacuum the bottom of my water fountain, and to also change the water. Given the larger tube diameter, it takes no time to empty the fountain. Plus, it sucks up all of the gunk at the bottom. I've never had the gunk clog the pump itself. It just use the hose and flush water through the entire system after using. One good thing, I did not cut the tube in half as recommended. Rather, I kept it long, and insert the bulb at one end; then put the bulb on the ground, and with a few pumps, start the siphon. I just leave the bulb on the ground, while everything drains. Update 9/25/2020 Flapper inside bulb is periodically staying stuck in the open position. I rinse water through the tube and bulb after each use, so the inside stays clean. It's a flimsy plastic flap that is getting stuck. Update 12/24/2020 Flapper was stuck due to debris. Once cleared, works perfectly. I really get a lot of use from this pump. ... show more

  • It works
I had a break on my house water connection and dirt/sand got into the system, especially in the toilet tanks. Didn't want to drain them and try to get it out that way so I thought of doing it with a siphon. That actually worked, pumping the dirty water and grit into the toilet bowl for flushing away. I got this particular one because it was high-flow with the large diameter tubes. The most effective action, especially on the sand, was to constantly pump it by squeezing the pump ball. The pump ball is kind of crummy but I stuck with it and made it work on three toilets. $13 for the siphon compared to $200 to the plumber. ... show more

  • Simply, easy, performance.
I've used others, but they take for ever to transfer fuel. I've used battery powered pumps, but the cold weather kills the batteries and I keep this in my truck when camping. No batteries and it transfers 15 gals of fuel in about ten minutes, while I sit in a nice warm truck out of the weather. Cut the hose to length and tighten the hose clamps and two squeezes and it works. I did add a short piece of 1/2 copper tubing to the suction in for the gas can to keep the hose sucking fuel to the bottom of the gas can, but this thing is simple, easy and works like a dream. ... show more

  • Stopped working.
Pump squeezy thing stopped working after one use. I took it apart to make sure no leaves were in it but it still wouldn't work. I use this for my pool cover water I syphon off in the winter time. The hose works great. Good size to syphon by mouth. I'm able to suck it up directly and just hang over the side of the pool. I ended up just buying more hose of same size so I could keep at a good length in order to keep the end hanging down below pool level (since I cut this hose in half for syphon thingy). Not worth buying this for a pool. Didn't work. Just get a plain hose about 6-8ft in length and just suck it up and hang over the pool side. Since it's only water it doesn't matter if you get a little in your mouth. ... show more

  • Works great but parts are weak/cheap
I've been using this siphon for about a year to transfer gas from a 5 gallon container to my boat fuel tank. Pros - East to use - Two, clear hoses are easy to use - Siphon action is quick and easy - Flow rate is plenty Cons - The clamps, with the yellow wingnuts, are pure crap. I just went to a big box store and bought a couple c-clamps in plumber for $.40 a piece. - The plastic on the down flow side of the bulb cracked and now leaks a bit of fuel. I've tried to seal with epoxy and then wrapped in electrical tape but no joy yet. ... show more

  • Works great
Clear hose lets you see fluid flow. I use it to transfer gasoline from a 5 gallon can to my car. I set the can on my trunk, which is over a foot above the level of the cars gas tank, squeeze the bulb just two times and you see the gas start flowing from can to car. Because of the hithe of the can above the cars tank and the larger diameter hose it empties the can in about 3 minutes. The only issue I had is with the VERY TINY arrow that tells the from/to direction of the fluid flow. The arrow should always point towards the container you're siphoning TO. A big black Sharpie fixed that issue. ... show more

  • Great siphon! Can’t go wrong.
Never used a siphon before, but boy was I glad I bought this one. So easy to use, tubing is high quality- thick and flexible. Hose clamps are tool free. Pump only takes one or two squeezes before you’re off and running. Zero mess. One thing to think about: tubing is one piece that you choose where to cut. I cut mine in the middle since I’m mostly going from outdoor power equipment back to a gas can. If you are planning on siphoning from vehicles you may want to cut a longer piece on the draw side so you can reach far enough to make it down into the tank you’re pulling from. Food for thought. ... show more
