In about a month, we will be having a 9-year-old girl visiting us for a few days. We know she likes craft activities, so we are trying to find things that will appeal to her creative side. While she has not tested this kit yet, it was tested by a person with lots of knitting experience. She was very impressed by the excellent step-by-step instructions provided in this kit and felt like they should be fairly easy for the child to follow. She was also confident that the kit could be used by the child with minimal supervision to successfully make a bracelet. The loom itself is quite nice. There is a small drawer on the left side to hold the threads used to make the bracelets. That really impressed the knitter who tested this as being a very thoughtful addition to the loom to prevent thread from being lost or soiled. . At the top of the loom, as you can see in the picture, there is a piece that flips out to allow the person making the bracelet to access the point that holds the thread while the bracelet is being woven. The kit also includes some buttons as well as some letters that can be attached to the bracelet to make it a little fancier. All in all, we expect this kit to be very well received by our visitor.

This friendship bracelet maker comes with the bracelet maker, beads, other little random accessories, and 14 different colors of string that are precut into two sections. The string all fits inside the bracelet maker. I mostly like the design of the bracelet maker. There's a hook on top where you secure the knotted portion of your bracelet and space for 10 strings to fit in between the little plastic "fingers" at the bottom. You can move the strings along and the stay secure so they don't get all knotted up which is important for a beginner. What I don't like is that this slides all over the table if you're using it there. The bottom is very slippery plastic and my daughter is extremely frustrated. We have a different friendship bracelet maker (similar concept) that suction cups to the table and it works A LOT better. Perhaps I can find something to put on the bottom to get it to stop slipping all over. I don't like that the thread is precut. We opened 5 colors and 3 of them got knotted up when we were trying to separate the two lengths of string. I woudl prefer being able to cut the string to the length I want because WOW are the pre cut lengths long and are harder to work with. Also, the random accessories (like buttons) feel strange in the kit--I don't really know how we would use them. I think it is an interesting concept with potential, but is lacking certain things that would make this bracelet maker work better.

This is fun and easy to teach/learn how to make knotted bracelets! When I was younger, we just used a piece of tape to hold the string down and used our fingers. This worked fine, but this friendship bracelet making kit helps to see things clearly and learn initially how to make various bracelets. It holds the strings well and is still easy to pick a string up as needed. The directions are easy to follow, too. I love that the string is precut! Makes things so simple and easy!

I can't imagine a young girl (or an old lady as myself) getting bored with this set around. It has a booklet with step-by-step instructions, a handy loom that opens on the end and a nice drawer to hold the embroidery threads. Also included are a plethora of buttons and beads to make this set a wonderful buy. I am looking forward to our granddaughter visiting and making me a bracelet and maybe showing me how to make one for her.

Got this for my daughter. In general she really likes it. Fun and easy to use once you learn how. Took my daughter a little while to figure out how to make a bracelet following the designs. Nice variety of colors but would recommend buying some more because they run out fast. Each color comes pre-cut but that's not helpful and it would have been better if each color was one long piece that you cut to the desired length yourself. Buttons are cute but just okay and instructions don't really explain how to use them. The loom/case works well and the compartments are nice. A little hard to get the individual thread spools to go back in their slots once the paper wrapper has been removed. For this reason, it would have been better just to have the drawer be a single opened space instead of slotted. Despite these minor things, it works well and is a great kit that was fun to use and would make a nice gift for a young person. Recommended.

My granddaughter has been trying to make friendship bracelets, so I thought this kit would be fun for her when she visited me last week. I must say it was a hit. I wish it would have had more thread in the kit so I would not have had to go to the store and buy more. The loom is sturdy and it comes with some buttons, letters and has a drawer to hold some thread. The instructions are fairly simple, but I backed it up by going to YouTube and picking up pointers there. My granddaughter loved it and can’t wait to give her friends, friendship, bracelets.

This friendship bracelet kit is so easy to use. The pegs at the bottom are spaced close together and holds the threads well. They are also numbered which really helps when braiding! I love the storage drawer! Everything needed is in one spot. Its constructed well, thick plastic and the draw opens easily. I like the little cover at the top that holds your bracelet while braiding. It's a great kit, you can't go wrong. The colors are nice too. Its more of a warm pink with a nice soft shade of purple.
