  • Good value, great unit
Works as it should. Easy set-up. I don’t have it linked to my phone at this time, But that seems pretty intuitive to do as well. Haven’t thrown a bad charge yet in the 4-500 rounds I’ve loaded out with it. Not as fast as the Frankfort (my son has one), but it’s acceptable. There’s always other tasks to do while waiting for charge to drop… ... show more

  • You can't go wrong with a charge master
I bought a Lyman gen6 and it was junk. This charge master is just down right awesome, accurate, dependable, and never misses a beat. The only way to go is RCBS charge master.

  • Better than some YouTube vids state, love it!
I was conflicted about buying this. Some YouTube video reviews claim it is way less accurate (+/- .2 grains or worse) and much slower than others. Not my experience at all. I ran tests of ten charges of 24.0 and 48.0 Varget which is a small kernel “stick” powder that can be a problem in mechanical measures. Then ten charges of 25.5 gn H335 which is a fine grain ball powder. In all cases most charges were +/- .05 gr as verified on my balance beam RCBS 10-10 scale (basically between the .1 gn markings on the scale). A couple would be dead on and usuall one at both extremes +/- .1 gr. This is following the manual instructions to let it warm up 20 minutes when first powered on. Then to calibrate it, and recalibrate every time it is turned of and back on for less than 20 minutes, for instance when I emptied the hopper or moved its position. This is a simple two minute process. The scale has a bubble level and adjustable feet. Very easy to use. For manual dispensing just make sure it is zeroed with the pan on it, then use the touch screen numeric pad to enter your charge weight, and press the green Go button. It will rapidly trickle up to about half a grain of the charge weight then slow way down to trickle a couple of kernels of Varget or several ball grains of H335 at a time to edge up to the charge weight. It took 17 seconds for the 25.5 and 21 seconds for a 50.0 charge weight. This is at least as good but I think slightly better than my trusty RCBS Uniflow mechanical measure. And considering on the mechanical I would recycle charges that hung up on the sticks (every five or six throws) it is about as fast and much less frustrating. Stick powders have been the best for me for precision match loads but the most troublesome to get accurate charge weights. Either tedious manual trickling or frequent hang ups and recycles with the mechanical measure. The Bluetooth link and app were super easy to set up. Connected easily and stayed connected. You can run the calibration and charging from the app or keypad. They both keep track of number of charges thrown so you can compare at the end if you missed any cases or double charged any. This ChargeMaster Link is fantastic. There may be other good brands as well. But this entry level auto dispenser from RCBS is a dream. If you have problems you either got a lemon so contact RCBS. Or you need to let it warm up or turn on and off and calibrate when moving it. Or you have issues with static or electronic interference. I did use Blaster Graphite Dry Lubricant spray on a cotton swab to lube the trickler tube first. It unscrews from the scale. ... show more

  • Works good and a time saver... Honest review
This works good but as with all scales under $500 it drifts and simple needs to be recalibrated.... It's a real time saver with powders that can't be thrown out of a powder dispenser.... It normally drops the charge on the money but accuracy is only within a tenth of a grain like most scales.... I double check each charge with a separate digital scale and it's rarely off , the system works good and really speeds things up compared to the trickle up method... I highly suggest wiping it down before each use with a dryer sheet to remove static electricity.... Static electricity is what causes most problems with any digital scale... Even leaving the dryer sheet in the powder hopper when storing the unit... Keeping static electricity off the unit will stop misreads and drifting on any digital scale or at least keep them to a minimum.... I don't use the blue tooth function... System works good and saves a lot of time with tough powders... Can only imagine how good it would be with an easy to use powder... ... show more

  • Works great
I haven't used the Bluetooth function so I can't comment on that but this is a significant step up from my first generation Hornady Autocharge. I have loaded about 250 rounds on it and haven't had a single overcharge yet. The microcontroller in this model can react a lot faster than the previous generation ones could and as a result you don't have to fine tune the speeds and such for different powder types. The first gen Hornady had 3 different speed settings that all affected how fast it could run. This one has none of that. You just calibrate it, key in a charge and go. ... show more
