I'm an experienced RC flyer for 20 years+. SO...It arrived and I thought "no way this flys well". But...took it to the school yard and first toss it was a hoot. Started on easy mode, and it was stable as a rock in 6mph winds. Quickly flipped up to medium and it did loops and super nimble. Floats i the air for gentle landings. I have a bunch of batteries, flew it for about an hour. Flys 5-10 minutes on a battery which is incredible. I fly large models with huge motors and batts...but this is a perfect solution to fly at the park. Buy this, fly this and have some fun. Not sponsored. OH, not tried the landing gear yet. maybe tomorrow.

Ive got the Leambe/VolantexRC brand warbirds as well and this plane is very similar to those with the exception of its faster and its definitely more twitchy even with the beginner mode selected. My advice is this is a fun plane, but until you've gotten used to a warbird version I would leave this one as a 2nd choice. Also, the yt videos of taking off without hand throwing, you need to make sure the landing gear wheels are straight and 'squeeze' the rear ones to give you a little more ground clearance. I have a dozen take offs and landings with no issues. Also, the warbird versions give you a warning when the battery is about to die (roughly 8-10 min at full throttle with all of them), but this f16 basically just dies in the air and since the wingspan isnt great, it does NOT glide.... you basically get a 5-10 seconds deadstick to make some corrections with ailerons to attempt a non crash landing - not a great beginner plane feature. Also this plane will stall very fast on tight turns if you try and 'bank' the turn to far since it has no rudder - even in beginner mode. I like it, but its not my favorite.... for the price it is a great plane though.

The media could not be loaded. I've bought a lot of these. I love them I need their fantastic. They can do everything basically the bigger EDF jets can do, just on a smaller scale. I am buying extra batteries and props so I can fly it for as long as possible. That being said probably not best for the first jet. It was my first yet and I went through a couple of them, eventually learn how to fly. There really is fun with that tail prop because it can have the four channels and it cruises. You going with a little bit of wind You're going 30 miles an hour or something and climb to flips. And has three different extra levels. The lowest level anyone can fly basically once you get the hang of you know a jet in the air. Cuz it has all the gyroscopes no limiters and the self correctors. But you turn those off and fly like a real jet. Don't need a ton of room either. You going to make sure you know where you're flying cuz it can get away from you, it can go high enough and far enough that you won't be able to track it really if you're not careful. But it's awesome and tell you what. One last thing, it does break but repairs are easy. Almost any glue will work. I've repaired ones over torn in half, I repaired the servos on them, front end with half glue, all of them still flew and they're all still fun.
