This is a fun little rock climber. The body is made of aluminum which is different, but it looks cool. It comes with 2 batteries and 4 off road tires you can switch to instead of using the tracks. Its not the fastest, but for climbing rocks it doesn't need to be. The steering is a little touchy and makes a straining sound when you turn the wheels so not sure how long that front servo is going to last. One of the front shocks was not retracting all the way and was making a clicking sound. I had to remove it and loosen it up a bit for it to compress as it should. Crawler and regular all in one! Sorta, it does both types of rc vehicles just by switching the wheels to the provided tracks. It is all wheel drive and has a very lose suspension for rock/ obstacle climbing but goes alot faster with tires on. You attach both wheels and tracks using screws (1 each) and has a metal body with plastic everything else. Negatives: I had to punch out the wheels for the first time because the plastic burrs were not cleaned out. The rubber on tracks come off easily - but also go on easily, I don't see any way of adjusting tension. It's not a bad toy for forty bucks but not for little kids who put stuff in their mouths as parts can come off. ... show more

This rc car is pretty cool the body is metal and the frame is plastic but it feels pretty durable, it came with 2 batteries and they last for quite a while too, I also like that it comes with regular tires too, my only negatives are that the belt wheels can come off (not often) but they do go back on easily and there is a little bit of a delay from the controller to the rc car when trying to turn it, but overall it is a cool little rc car. ... show more

I was between a 4 and 5 star on this one; there are a lot of really cool features, but also some misses in my opinion. The ability to change different drive types between treads and wheels is cool, and the car can climb over things with its treads, but the controller feels pretty lightweight and basic and the tool to change tire and tiny screw for that purpose also seem cheap and/or poorly thought out. I like that the car itself is durable, and that it comes with 2 rechargeable batteries. I wish the controller was constructed a bit better and that a little more thought went into the process of changing wheels. At the end of the day I think you could do a whole lot worse at this price point, and overall my kid is happy with it. ... show more

My nephew is 6 and he loves it. He is astonished that it has tracks and wheels. It seems to do well on the grass here. He plays in the dirt with it and has been building "mountains" to conquer. This has stoked creativity. That is something we encourage and nourish around my household and family. So big props there, It seemingly durable and the body is metal, It looks really cool too. The media could not be loaded. This rc is pretty cool and different than other rc off-road vehicles. I like that your given the option whether you want it on the tracks or regular tires. I honestly prefer the tracks and i can get into more difficult situations and get out of them ofcourse. Compared to the tires i get obviously less traction and gets stuck easier. I am using a stronger battery thats why it moves so quick. Its a 7.5v 550mah battery ... show more

This RC crawler came well packaged and free from cosmetic defects. The battery lasts a while, but the included battery charger charges slowly, and dose not seem to be of very good quality. With the tracks on the steering servo is not strong enough to turn when stopped or moving at a very slow speed. The trim adjustment is difficult to adjust and I could not get the steering straight regardless of adjustment. Changing from the tracks to tires is not too easy as the screw holes in the wheels are not big enough to pass the screw through. I also noticed some type of fluid leaking onto the rear axle (maybe from the shock?) I would say this is not a very high quality toy, but it is rather inexpensive… ... show more
