I gave five stars but id put it at like a 4.5 star rating because the 2 sides aluminum pieces dont fit in the xmaxx so I installed the mount without them and put a litte locktite for the rest of the screws and its honeslty a really nice and sturdy motor mount even without the 2 side pieces i have not had any issues and i have a giant castle system in it and i bash hard. Oh and you are kinda limited on what size gears you can run, for example youre probably going to need atleast a 50 tooth spur and 26 tooth pinion. Im currently running a 52 tooth spur and 25 tooth pinion and its a absolutely speed demon wheelies literally at whatever speed ... show more

After modifying the mount to sit in the right spot for the Traxxas xrt that it’s advertised for I still can’t get the motor low enough to set the proper mesh. Since I cut it I’ll be throwing it out. Looks nice, but it’s junk

    • Decent for the price. Don’t forget if u need a mount for rear u will need front and back.
Decent but make sure u only need the front as this does not include rear of the motor mount so motor can and will still flex. Also, seller sent me the wrong size and was too late to notice so I was stuck with it. But seems of decent quality.

Purchased this item for traxxas xmaxx 8s as product description stated it is intended to fit. Product not only has wrong motor mounting holes it doesn’t even fit in between the chassis completely to wide. Terrible!!

Requires you to move a ton of braces or cut them out completely. Would not recommend it

    • Only 2 bolts go into hobby max5 motor...
Seems like it would be decent expect for the fact that it seems you only can run 2 bolts into the motor to secure it... I can't image under any circumstances that a hobby wing max 5 will be ok with 2 bolts...? Also doesn't seem to fit with the factory gear cover?..
