The media could not be loaded. Really fun to fly! I couldn't tkae it off from the ground. It just nosed down into the pavement when I tried but that didn't bother me. I launched it from my hand with a toss (think paper airplane style) and it took off like a shot! Swooping and turning and diving, it is really awesome! I did crash it once - getting a little too cocky and hit a branch. it fell about 10 feet to the ground and didn't break so I would say it's surprisingly durable. You can adjust the tail for indoor / outdoor flight which will reduce the climb rate if needed but I can't imagine flying this indoors unless you are in a very large area like a gymnasium or something. The recommended age is 6 and up and I'm not sure about that. I think it would strongly depend on the six year old and their experience with RC. The battery life was great too. I got over 15 minutes on each battery. The plane has led lights on the bottom and a bright red one flashes as you are getting low. I probably had a 2 or 3 minutes left to bring the plane in once it started flashing. All in all, this is really fun and I would highly recommend it!

I ordered this as a toy for young boys to play with while they stay with their parents in my AirBnB. The problem is that my 16-year-old likes it so much that I can't get it away from him. This plane is very light, yet it doesn't break when it hits the ground. The controller is easy to use even for a much younger child. It flies as high as the top of our barn, which is pretty high. It is a really fun little toy, I just hope the other kids get a chance to use it!

Hey it flies, and very well. Unlike a drone you can not fly this one sideways or backwards. You can fly it forward and turn it left or right. But it is easy to fly once you adapt to the controls. I am amazed on how well it does fly. States indoor or outdoor use but I find it to hard to fly indoors, just not enough room. But still a fun RC Plane to have. Has LED lights so you can see it from afar and they blink when the batteries are getting to low to warn you to land it. I look forward to flying this one every time I take it out.

This is a legit, fun toy, more difficult to "fly" than I had expected. We have several mini drones that fly in the house when the grandkid visit. We fly the drones inside vs outside to prevent them from landing on the roof, or high up in a tree. Since drones can at minimum, just hover, a restricted environment works fine. You need to have a pretty big room (size and height) to use this indoors. It can take off from a standing start, but you will need 10-12 feet, and then as it gains altitude, you better have vaulted ceilings - standard 8' will be a problem. Obtaining level flight is difficult. Seems you just constantly battle ascending / descending movement but before you can feel comfortable with your flight, you'll need to turn which complicates any steady control you had. The speed of the propellors is everything, if fast, you go up. slow, down. When using outdoors, you can quickly find yourself trying to avoid crashing on to the roof, or in trees or heading off the property - and we've got a huge front yard. I've hidden this from the grandkids, because I fear it won't make it through the day with them. It's super light weight, the body is a thick styrofoam like material, but the wings of the bi-plane are much thinner, and I just don't think it would last long in their hands. I really appreciate that it comes with a total of 3 batteries, allows me to lose one. The batteries can be charge with the USB provided, or directly connect USB cable to the plane and not need to remove the battery from the small compartment provided. The plane and remote pair quickly and easily compared to the drones which can be finicky. You can initiate flight from the "runway" or with a quick toss. So the issue isn't flying as much as learning how to control it's flight. So it's fun, needs some space for flight, patience, but unless you want to hear kids whining about a broken toy ... I'm not sure I'd let the kids use it. Seems to easy to be a "one and done" toy.

Tested this with a 7-year-old in an open field. It’s light but stable and didn’t nose dive on launch. The USA flag design is bright and easy to spot in the air. Controls are simple and responsive. The LED light helps with visibility at dusk. Comes with three batteries, each lasting about 10 minutes. It’s not built for wind but handles calm conditions well. No major damage after a few crashes.

So much fun. Super easy to fly. No experience needed. About 10-13 minutes per battery and it comes with 3 so plenty of flight time. Easy to use, even in a small backyard. Also not heavy in a good way to worry about someone crashing it into stuff etc. perfect for laughs and for younger ones to get their feet wet flying. Love this.

This Carox RC airplane is loud looking with all the stars and stripes and that’s kinda the point. My kid doesn’t care if it’s “realistic,” he just wants it to fly and light up, which it does. You get three batteries so it actually lasts longer than most of these cheap flyers, each one runs maybe 12 minutes before you swap it. The controller is as simple as it gets, left/right/forward, and the biplane shape keeps it steady enough that even a six-year-old can launch it without nose-diving every time. It feels like a toy that’s not pretending to be pro gear—more of a fun back-yard flyer you don’t stress about. We already smacked it into a fence and it shrugged it off. For the price, it’s just good goofy entertainment.

This airplane comes ready to fly with 3 batteries even. Only takes minutes to get in the air. Flys very stable and really easily. It’s even really durable because of how light it is. Really it’s a perfect kids first rc airplane that packs a ton of value.
