  • Very fun, 2 batteries will let you enjoy it more
There are a couple of these planes floating around. The F-35 might not be the prettiest plane (F-22 is nicer looking in my opinion) but it is still cool to fly it around. This kit has so many spares you’ll be set for a while: spare landing gear, spare propellers, and spare battery. The extra battery is very welcome as it effectively doubles flight time after a quick pit-stop to replace the batteries. The plane can be tricky to fly but it relies on only throttle and rudder inputs to fly. I don’t use the propeller guards since I use the landing gear, but I would definitely use them If I flew with no gear. Flying the plane is simple, it’s a balancing act of having enough speed to fly, but not too much that you keep climbing. Turning will reduce speed so you have to throttle up, it’s a bit involved but it’s fun. The plane is light and has a rubber cushion on the nose so crashing the plane shouldn't damage it. Get yourself another one of these and have dogfights with your friends, it’ll be fun. ... show more

  • A Fun Yet Tricky Flying Experience for All Ages
I recently received this RC plane that I got for my grandson, thinking it would be a delightful gift. While he's still a bit too young to handle it himself, his dad stepped in to assemble and fly it, which turned into an exciting family activity. Assembling the plane was remarkably straightforward, no glue or screws required, which was a relief. It's also quite durable, handling a few crash landings without any significant damage—a necessary feature considering our novice piloting skills. The plane comes with two batteries, allowing for extended play time, which is great because you really need that extra time to get the hang of its flight dynamics. Flying the plane was more challenging than I anticipated. It behaves somewhat differently from both drones and traditional RC planes due to its unique controls that rely on motor adjustments for steering rather than conventional control surfaces. This setup made it quite sensitive, especially to throttle changes, causing it to nose up or down dramatically if not handled with care. Fortunately, I regained control without nose straight down each time. Despite these challenges, the thrill of getting it airborne—whether launching by hand or from the ground—was undeniable. We had our fair share of mishaps, including a couple of rough landings where the rear landing gear popped off, but thankfully, the kit included the necessary spares. For those new to RC planes like myself, I recommend starting in wide-open spaces to avoid the inevitable tree snatches—we learned that lesson the hard way (once)! This plane is light and resilient, ideal for a youth or a beginner learning to fly in an open area free of obstacles. Overall, while this RC plane might present a steep learning curve, it's a fun and engaging toy that brings more laughs than frustrations. Just be prepared for some trial and error in mastering its flight. ... show more

  • Easy to Build, Durable, Safe For Kids
The media could not be loaded. First of all, this is “toy grade” not hobby grade. It flies kind of like a a mix between a drone and an airplane. I’ve been flying RC planes and drones for about 4 years now and this is somewhat hard to fly. Some Pros and Cons Very easy to assemble (no glue or screws required) Binds quickly with the receiver Handles crashes well Comes with two batteries for the plane plus one charger Does not have to be registered with the FAA (it is sub 250g, coming in at just 52g) Comes with spare front and rear landing gear and extra props Decent Control distance of 400 feet. Can be hand launched or take off from the ground CONS Kind of hard to fly ( think in part because it is a little tail heavy). There are not control surfaces (like on a regular plane, it uses the motors to turn the jet) Rear landing gear pop off easily OVERALL I found this plane a little hard to fly. It wants to nose up a lot when you give it some throttle and then when you let off the throttle it wants to nose down a bit. This would probably be improved if there was a little more weight in the front of the plane. I found that it flew better with the front landing gear on and the rear off. I was able to get it to take off from the ground and hand launch it. If you don’t know how to fly a plane, find some open spaces or you will probably put this in a tree. I think this is for a young kid (under 10) in a parking lot with no trees. It’s light and durable so, crashing really isn’t a big deal. It’s safe, I wouldn’t bother with the prop guards, the are going to fall off anyways. ... show more

  • Super fun! Watch out for trees!
We have an acre yard with one really big tree... I don't know what it is, but this thing is a magnet to it. LOL! Joking, but it is stuck in the tree right now and we are waiting for a good wind to free it. This is far more fun than any cheap drone my kids have had, and it is easy to use and fly. The remote feels cheap, but it works well. I don't notice certain features work like the two speeds, but it flies. That is amazing in and of itself. It can be tough to launch, but once up, it flies well. The challenge is the feather the throttle between nose dive and stall out LOL! I am sure there are better planes, but I am having fun with it regardless of the challenges. It really makes me want to buy one with a bit more quality and engineering behind it, but I don't want anything too expensive in my trees... I would purchase again. ... show more

  • Stopped responding and just flew away
I got this in the air one time, and then the remote just stopped responding about 30 feet away and it just kept flying, when I dropped the throttle to zero It still just kept flying and eventually flew away.

  • Very nice RC plane for kids and beginners
This little plane is super nice, and a great one for beginners. I love that it comes with two sets of spare props and landing gear because I have lost landing gear when landing in the grass before. It even has a spare nose cone if needed. The prop guards are also a great touch because they help protect the props in grass landings. Super cool little plane, durable and well made! ... show more
