I own most of the Razer controllers that they've released (pictured are just some that aren't in storage) so I'm what you may call an expert and also bad with money. Razer controllers prior have all had some issues to put it lightly, or in the case of the Raiju's so much so that the lineup is now effectively dead in favor of the Wolverine. The Wolverine v3 Pro feels like a true culmination of all the past controller issues and questionable design decisions being ironed out. I will list my own personal highlights compared to previous offerings as I do not see any of the "tech reviewers" mentioning them. + Tension on thumb sticks and full pull on triggers nearly identical to stock Xbox, stick tension slightly tighter from what I can tell and it feels amazing compared to how loose the tension on every Razer controllers has been prior + Thumbstick material and texture provides actual grip, previous controllers were slip city + ACTUALLY GOOD AND ERGONOMIC BACK BUTTONS OH MY GOD HOW I'VE LONGED FOR THIS + Face buttons have been changed for the better, sound and feel is still clicky like Razer is known for but much more muted, and in general they've felt less fatiguing to use + M1 and M2 switches changed to be same as bumper, previously they were not and had slightly different feeling actuation force needed so if you tested your fingers on the extra buttons you may have accidentally triggered them due to the lesser force needed + Actually good trigger stops bravo 👏 + Wireless that works without issue!!! On a Razer controller no less wow! + Good polling rates??? 250hz 2.4 wireless polling rate on Xbox is double than the standard and elite controller offerings from Xbox, finally a pro controller from Razer that actually lives up to the pro name. With up to 1000hz wired on PC Razer has finally caught up to current year and as a result this is their most responsive feeling controller ever. + Razer actually priced it fairly for a wireless pro controller, remembered to include a carrying case this time, and included a 10ft cable for wired. Immaculate W + Hall effect sticks in a big name pro controller, to see Razer adopt this before Microsoft and Sony absolutely blows my mind, they actually did it. Bravo. If you play on Xbox and PC it's a no brainer. While they could certainly do more in offering a wider variety of stick options, let alone the means of easily obtaining more which historically they've never done outside of ordering a "replacement set" at absurd prices from their parts store, I'm just in awe that Razer actually knocked it out of the park for once. Honestly I'm just in shock they actually priced it at $200, I feel like I actually got what I paid for so the finance team must be on vacation or something. ... show more

On the very first day, You need Synapse 4 and you ALSO need to firmware update, otherwise the paddles are useless. Three months later, the controller no longer will connect to your PC at all. You power the controller on, it connects to synapse, and immediately disconnects after. Which means you can't even firmware update anymore even if you wanted to. It still works if you connect directly via USB, but it's literally NOT WIRELESS. Buy the non-wireless version of this controller because damn, I just wasted money on this wireless one. It literally turned into a wired controller. It's so awful. Razer products are terrible. Please stay away from this garbage. I have never hit a single product that was actually usable. They have all broken down or had issues and razer support won't do anything except replace the entire product and it's a pain to do this every time. I'm literally waiting on shipping the devices every time. *** Update If you ever have this issue of it never connecting via dongle, do a factory reset on the device by plugging it in, going to the Help menu in Synapse 4, and clicking factory reset. The controller now behaves as normal. Frustrating experience, but at least it's good again. Also, it's a high quality built product, but man, there are always software issues. ... show more

Edit: Wolverine v3 pro support has been added to Synapse 4 with huge updates. The additional buttons are now fully mappable to keyboard keys! An actual game changer since Steam can be fiddly with third party controllers. They also added options for digital trigger zones and dead zone tweaks. If these features are important to you, it's great to have native support. This version of the controller completely earns its V3 status. I skipped V2, but this is a significant upgrade from the V1. If you're a fan of the V1 and even on the fence, then look no further. This has every single quality of life feature that I wanted from the V1. They relocated the paddles to the standard location behind the grips. Wireless connectivity is seamless with the dongle and they finally included a case in the box. Triggers and buttons are ultra responsive and feel like mechanical mouse clicks. The trigger stops have a much tighter stopping point and also have the mechanical feel when they are engaged. I can only speak for my small hands, but it feels comfortable to use. The build quality is also great. I've had no issues with deadzone or stick drift, though, only time will tell the whole story there. The main reason I kept going back to the V1 was due to the additional shoulder buttons in between the bumpers and triggers. These extra buttons make a huge difference and are the biggest reason why I would recommend this controller over competitors even at this price point. It's a feature that should be standard with all controllers frankly. The PC software is functional, but barebones. Very strange that you even need additional software and there is no integration with Synapse, but it's not the biggest deal. If you're in the market for a controller and you've got some expendable income, this is the one. ... show more
