really love this mic where i've gotten two so far. it looks super nice and while it is plug n play, you can make this thing sound really nice with other software and a bit of configuration. HOWEVER, DO READ THIS IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING A MIC ARM FOR THIS. okay so if you plan on attaching this to a mic arm, there is this weird helicopter sound when done so. not sure why it happens or what causes it, but there is an easy fix to this. i was frustrated for so long until i found how easy it was to fix. you will need to disassemble the bottom by removing the sticker and unscrewing it. then there is a large hollow part inside. just stuff a plastic bag inside and it should fix it. put it back together and put it on a mic arm and you're good to go.

I don't leave reviews often, but this product deserves a little more research behind purchase than what it out there. This is my first BOOM type mic I have purchased, and I have to admit, I am relieved to purchase something that actually does everything it states it does. I have no problems like I did with my CHROMA V.2 HEADSET MIC that I was using prior to purchasing this. Now I can even use my speakers in the back, and listen to music and it doesn't leak through the mic. I don't even have to use Push to Talk. The reason I gave it a 4/5 for Value for Money, is because it is a Razer product, and unfortunately the only downside is there is no RGB lighting like the rest of my set up. So a way around this is if you absolutely need a light you could put it underneath the device, or along side, but I am very surprised at this lack of detail from Razer, I would have easily paid 10-25 more if it came with the CHROMA capabilities. It is afterall the centerpiece of most desk set ups unless you get a stand for it, so that is the only downside, still a must have in my opinion.

[Full disclosure, I did not pay full price for this item, and would perhaps be more demanding of it if I had.] I've used a lot of microphones over the past 25 years or so, of varying degrees of quality. And while I would not necessarily call this a "professional" microphone, it's as close as I've seen among USB mics in this price range. (Or at least the price I paid.) The last time I owned a microphone as responsive and accurate as this one, its price was in the triple digits. I've also not tried the Blue mics in the 40-60 price range, so I don't know how this compares to them, positively or negatively. But the quality I'm able to get from this is impressive. My biggest issue with it, in fact, is that the plugs are between the base and the underside of the mic portion, which leaves very little wiggle room, literally, for cords. In fact, the headphone cord I use has a large endcap that barely fits in the space between the mic and the base. I have to tilt the base to even plug it in. (If your plug is smaller/narrower, it might not be an issue.) Also the USB cord that came with the mic is, on mine at least, a little wiggly, and about 3-4% of the time wiggles just enough to cut the power/sound from the mic. Not enough to make me return it, but enough to mention it in the review. And to be fair, this is mostly because I move it around quite often for various reasons, so if it remains stationary on your desk, it might never be an issue for you. On the positive side, one of its best features is the built-in monitoring, which allows you to immediately hear yourself without an echo, which is a problem I often ran into with other microphones, unless I resorted to either a hardware mixer or a fancier mic like a ZOOM. You'll have to fiddle with the knob on front to get it where you want -- I tend to leave it cranked up so I can better hear how my voice is, but this has the unfortunate side effect of picking up everything in the surrounding area. But this is a known side effect of supercardioid mics, and is not a point against this one. Overall I've been happy with it, have more than gotten my sixty bucks' worth from it, and hope to have it for some time. If it dies before the year is out I may need to revise my reviews, but for now it is going strong. If I could give it 4 and a half stars, I would, but I can't, and it's not a perfect 5, so 4 it is.

I thought I have to install some driver or it may not work in "KDE neon" Linux boy was I wrong. I just plugged it in to my "KDE neon" Linux and it just started to work immediately. The audio quality is excellent. You have to come close to the microphone to get louder sound. It filters background sound very well. As a Linux user I love this microphone. Now REMEMBER that this microphone has audio chip for audio output. If you tilt the microphone at the bottom of it you will see a input headphone jack (look at the picture I provided). So when you plugin this microphone you will see two new devices which is normal and suppose to happen. One is microphone and the other is a speaker for that headphone jack. Look at the picture I provided "Audio - System Settings" in that you will see in "KDE neon" a "Playback Device" called Razer Seiren X which is the headphone output, and a "Recording Device" Razer Seiren X which is the microphone. When using audio recording application like "Audacity" make sure you select the correct input device (look at the picture I provided "Preferences: Devices"). When it comes to recording quality make sure that you select Sample Rate "4800 Hz" and Sample format "16-bit". If you are not using "Ubuntu 20.04", "KDE neon", or any modern Linux and the microphone don't work then try Razer Linux drivers here: openrazer.github.io

This is the second Seiren X I buy. The first was for myself as an entry level streamer and the second for my son. Setup is plug and play, no software or drivers are needed in Windows 10. It will show up both as a mic as well as speakers due to its built in sound card which you can use to monitor yourself when speaking into the mic. There’s a headphone jack located below the mic next to the USB port and 5/8 mounting hole. Sound quality is good and mounting options are plentiful. I love having the built in mute and sound level controls right on the mic for those times when you need to quickly mute the mic or turn down your headset (if plugged to mic) I’ve used the mic on both PC and Mac and on each it works perfectly without need for adjustments. Streamlabs OBS which I use works perfectly with it. Below is a photo of my setup to highlight the attachment to my microphone arm. As long as your mic arm has a 5/8 threaded mount, the Seiren X will screw in easily.

This microphone is good for amateur streamers or youtubers, you can place it on a boom arm with a suitable adaptor, and it has a good capture area. It only has a mute button and a volume control for the built-in audio output. However, the volume control doesn't control gain. Build quality is above average at most, standard Razer quality, but it gets the job done really good. It does pick up noises and it still requires a pop filter. Also you can't use it with every boom arm. I only managed to use it together with my arm screwed in, provided an adaptor. Not quite the best at price/quality, but not too overpriced either.

I wanted a good microphone and glad that I purchased this unit for my setup. I was using my headset mic for my streams and wanted to incorporate a standalone mic instead. This Razer microphone fit the bill. Although it was a more expensive mic, the quality and pickup is great. The microphone comes with a desk stand and I used that for a bit. It does pickup everything and will need to be audio adjusted to not pick up everything. I did have it on the backside of my mechanical key keyboard and it picked up every key press. I wasn't able to adjust it not to pick that up in my streams. I purchased a desk mount mic stand and that did the trick. I do not have to have the mic right in front of my mouth and have the unit about 1 foot or so away and it still picks up my voice rather well. I am a light talker so I don't have to yell for it to pick up my voice. Everyone is able to hear my in game commentary and general discussions perfectly fine. Actually the viewer stated that it is much clearer than that of my headset mic. Overall a good investment for what I am doing with it.

im sure the microphone sounds great, ive actually looked at reviews before i bought it using my akg k702 reference headphones to make sure im hearing the best quality possible, and it sounds simular to a blue yetti, which is a rather quality microphone, its bassicly the standerd for good quality, not great like a shure, but a good. however my first one came broke, it had a constant buzzing sound when the audio was inputting and the monitering aux port didn't really work too well. so i orderd a replacement. it also came broken, same buzzing issue, but it actually wasn't as bad and the aux port worked perfectly which is nice of youre into that. Keep in mind that it might not be the products fault, the first time i orderd it there was no packing materials, and the second time it was thrown in the corner with packing matierels around 2 of its sides, leaving the top bottom and other 2 sides exposed to the box making it easy to be damaged, ive been using razer products for a long time, i have a razer deathadder elite that has been working way past what its rated (1 billion clicks per switch) ik this because i spam that thing and ive hade it for about 6 or so years give or take. i also have a pair of razer krakens, which aren't amazing headphones but for the price are nice and have a lot of bass, they worked great and still do i just sat on them so now they're deformed. i also have a mousepad by them which is really quality and smooth. i used to even use the blackwidow lite before i made my own keyboard. this all makes me not want to blame the brand, but ive never really used their microphones before and this was my first time dwelling into it. when i googled the issue of buzzing i couldn't find any results on reddit or youtube of this issue or how to fix it. so i assume this is an issue on amazons part concidering when i orderd my k702's from them they arived broken the first time too. all in all i can't give an honest review because i don't have a working functioning product due to the issues listed. i requested a refund and sent my replacment mic back and i still haven't gotten the refund, i sent it back 3 months ago i was supposed to be refunded within the week so that sucks, just 80 dollars thrown away, im working on trying to get it back however.
