  • Its honestly really great for the price
When i saw these i wanted to get them right away because they seemed to be the best deal that you can get if you wanted ANC, at least that's what i was after. After i bought them i charged them immediately which is sort of a flaw. Let me explain. It takes longer than desired to charge these things. The best time to charge them is overnight, but the tradeoff between charge time and play time is well worth the wait. I can spend most of my day heavily using this thing with ANC activated and it will last. Even after i am done using it i forget to charge it and when i use it the next day it still has like 50% battery life. Now onto the sound quality. The sound quality has some nice highs, but it leaves some desires for the lows. It still delivers the lows pretty well, but its not as rich as some others i've tested (ex. Skullcandy Crusher Wireless). Next is the main target for this device, ANC. The active noise cancelling to someone who hasnt really experienced it in depth before was amazing. I also heard from other people that it has a faint hiss when ANC is enabled, but it is really faint that your brain tunes it out after about 15 seconds. ANC delivers really well. For example, i played some music at around 50% volume and ANC on and i had my friend basically shout at me and i was only able to barely hear him. Last but not least comfort, another huge roll in wearing over ear headphones. Based on other razer products they have i had some worries about the comfort, but when i got them, they were actually really good. It doesnt clamp on your head, at least not hard so it has a nice feeling and my ears which are pretty much medium fit in the headphones and didnt touch the drivers as most people i heard from reviews have experienced. Overall, for the price the razer opus is honestly really great for the price and i would recommend buying it. ... show more

  • Outstanding when paired with Android via AptX
Unless there's a bunch of defective units being made (doubtful), I'm guessing all of the negative reviews are either fake, or they are connecting the headset via iOS / PC. I trust the rtings review site, which gave very high praise for the Opus, and it was not wrong. It did say their test setup involved using AptX, so I think that is the key to best performance of the Opus. The ANC is outstanding and lines up with the rtings detailed review. Also, the sound is very balanced and detailed in all levels, as expected. The bass is just ever-so-slightly low, which was expressed in the rtings review where low and mid bass was about -2 db below 'optimal'. However, I find at close to medium volume, its plenty loud and it opens up the bass a little more. To me, it's close to perfect and a steal at the price I paid, especially for the premium ANC. I've used the Opus while mowing on my tractor and I can barely even hear the tractor! I can listen at medium volume and it's plenty loud in this scenario, which prevents hearing loss. Very happy with this unit! ... show more

  • Pretty good
I own a pair of Bose skullcandy crushers and Cohens I will compare these individually and I will be making sure than I explain myself as well as I can without wasting your time I wanna start off by saying the noise cancellation is on par with the Bose which I would say is the best sometimes I felt completely deaf The battery life is I think probably less than advertise but still plenty you can’t really go to days without charging it but you can come close which the other ones I’ve mentioned do about the same I wouldn’t seen that they falsely advertise them on ours I just say that on average I think these kind of headphones really don’t last more than a day if you’re actually using them a lot like I do now about sound quality that one’s going to take me when I feel like the rest of my life to explain to people the best way I know how to put it is it’s beneath bows and Skullcandy in different ways But possibly still above Cohen which Cohen is still not bad the Cohens I would say feel like budget ones you can buy them for about 100 bucks I bought these on sale for 140 I bought the post on sale for 180 and I bought the Skullcandy for closer to about 200 the Bose I have are a iteration that was used for gaming and is an all-around amazing headset both in how it fits how light it is it goes all the way around the ear. doesn’t feel too big not too tight and probably the single most comfortable headphones out there. the sound is as wide and rich as you could imagine it’s pretty much perfect but it has zero customizability which is sort of frustrating the Skullcandy crushers that I have are actually The Skullcandy crusher ANC which is the highest ranking Skullcandy headphones I’d say with the base slider all the way down they match the sound of the Bose but the headphones themselves don’t. they are not completely comfortable might be one of the more uncomfortable headphones that I own right behind it I would say that these razor headphones are actually closer to the skullcandy in terms of uncomfortability just because of how oddly tight that they are... not very light either The Cohen are actually surprisingly the closest to the bose in terms of comfortability but when it comes to gaming use I’d say they all fit just fine and that the the razors come close to first right behind Skullcandy my reasonings for this is because the 3-D ability of really telling you where things are in a video game is fascinatingly well done the skullcandy have a better range of sound like that of the Bose while also giving the user the ability to decide how much base they want which is actually what makes them in my opinion the coolest ones. razor is right behind those with less customizability being there no base slider. Go to top this off with some keynotes. they don’t get quite loud enough in my personal opinion they get loud enough that they’re audible but they don’t really feel like they’re pumping you full of noise at any point the bass is decent the audio is pretty good but I just don’t know I wouldn’t say that it was average and I wouldn’t say that it was bad it’s like it’s right in the middle and I can’t really say too much about it they are very medium on the scale of great, it’s weird ... show more

  • great sound for wireless
Awesome wireless headphones that I use with various devices. Only problem I've had so far is that the volume does not get super loud for gaming (I use different headphones for gaming). Great otherwise for music and movies, etc. comfy ear pads too.
