  • Comfortable Wireless Gaming Mouse
Style: Basilisk X Hyperspeed
The Bad: The first mouse that I got would shut off randomly at least twice a week, sometimes it would just die mid game or while I am working sometimes it would just shut off when I wasn't doing anything. Then in order to wake it I would have to take the battery in and out of the mouse and after 10-15 tries it would power on and I would be on my way again. I thought it was because I needed to download a driver for the mouse but it still was an issue when I had Razer Synapse 3 and updated all of the drivers (I will also say that in order to update the dongle and the mouse you will need to have another mouse connected to click on things because the mouse just shuts off when you are updating and you can't click on anything). Anyways after I updated the mouse I still ran into issues and asked to get a new one. The new one works flawlessly. At first it wouldn't turn on when I put a battery in (rechargeable or alkaline) but then after about 30sec-1 min it powered on and we were off to the races. So far it hasn't given me any issues I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I am still on the first battery I put in. They say it runs for 450 hours and I use my mouse around 7-8 hours a day doing general tasks and working so it should hypothetically last me about 8 weeks (2 months) I'll update when I get there. The Good: This is a comfortable wireless gaming mouse for me. I palm grip my mouse and the thumb rest is very comfortable. They use a rubberized compound for the thumb rest that has a snakelike pattern, the texture is grippy and adds a nice touch. For reference, I use an XL HyperX Mat and my DPI is set on the lowest setting (800 DPI). This does not work on glass if for some reason you are trying to use this on glass. I switch between using the 2.4 for my computer and Bluetooth for my iPad and it is seamless. The clicks are tactile and stable, the magnetic enclosure that houses the receiver and battery is a nice touch and it just looks like a well thought out product. Overall: It feels like a plastic-y cheaper version of the Logitech G502, the scroll wheel is not as nice but it is generally well built and light in comparison. If I had to choose between a wired G502 and this mouse I would pick this one because the wireless makes my desktop feel a bit cleaner and not so cluttered, but if you want something that has a tighter more solid build go with the G502 Hero. If I had a choice I would probably end up sticking with this mouse over the G502, it does everything just good enough. I don't feel any lag when and it is very quick and snappy when I am playing games or browsing around. For a wireless mouse that is amazing. Also for reference, I have used the Microsoft Sculpt Mouse as a daily driver for browsing, Blender and editing when I am not on this mouse and that mouse is the most comfortable mouse I own and I would say the Basilisk x Hyperpeed is almost on par with that mouse in comfort and ergonomics because of the thumb rest. The other mouse wheel can just pan left and right and I use that a lot in Blender ... show more

  • Great bang for the buck
Style: Basilisk X Hyperspeed
Bought a cheap $15 off brand wireless mouse a year ago and it started to have issues and was laggy. I used to be a gamer in the past and know Razer makes good stuff and this refurb was only $30. Came in a Razer box, mouse was wrapped in bubble wrap, obviously not the original packaging, which i expected since its a refurb. Mouse looks brand new, clean, no scratches. No battery included, but just takes a standard AA. Usb dongle was inside the mouse, took me a minute to figure that out. Im using it with my iMac mostly for graphic design, plugged in the little usb plug and it pretty much worked right away. I did not try to program any buttons, other reviewers said its not possibly or you gotta buy software, but your standard left/right click, and scroll work just fine, side thumb buttons work as back and forward when browsing the web. I dont really see any need personally to program the mouse for what i do. Only been using it for a week, not sure about battery life yet ... show more

  • Perfect mouse for everyday use
Style: Basilisk X Hyperspeed
Update: After about 2 months of use, the left click button began to squeak a lot. This appears to be a common defect on razor mouses from a quick search. I talked with Amazon and having a replacement unit shipped (still within replacement/return window). It will be another 'renew' unit but I'm crossing my fingers it's free of this issue. Original: I love simple and refined products like these that can make a huge improvement to my everyday productivity. It's very light and easy on my wrist, and the ergonomics and texture around the thumb area is much better than a Logitech office mouse. I work on my computer 8-10 hours daily, and go back and forth between this mouse and a Wacom. I don't use this for gaming. With an Eneloop battery, it lasts about 3-4 weeks. Unlike other wireless mouses I've had, accessing the battery compartment is very easy and you don't need to flip the mouse or plug anything. As long as you have some rechargeable AAs, it can be done in a few seconds and no repairing is needed. I love the stealthy look and hoping it will last a long time. ... show more

  • Very plain design and cheap plastic, but great for accuracy
Style: Basilisk X Hyperspeed
This mouse has a very simplistic design to it that does not make it stand out like a lot of other gaming mouses. Other gaming mouses have lights and soft plastic, this one has the simple rubber on the sides and hard plastic everywhere else. This however is not a bad thing if you're into plain things. The mouse is completely blacked out and has an excellent DPI of 16000. You can connect it with the regular 2.4 ghz usb, or you can choose to use Bluetooth; this is found very handy because I can even use it with my iPad! The mouse glides on any surface but is very light at the same time, but you'll get used to it as you use it more. ... show more

  • Excellent value for price
Style: Basilisk X Hyperspeed
Very satisfied with the purchase. I am using this as a general purpose mouse and not using it for gaming. Mouse has an incredibly quick response and is very smooth. I, in fact, prefer it without the RGB lighting (unnecessary battery drain). The ergonomic feel is great and allows for heavy usage for extended periods without feeling strain. The refurbished product appeared virtually knew, though it came bubble-wrapped and wasn't in the original box. ... show more

  • it's worth it!
Style: Basilisk X Hyperspeed
Surprised. I have been a Logitech mouse fan for years. I tried this mouse because my Logitech gaming mouse malfunctioned. I was surprised that this mouse is quite ergonomic. It fits my hand perfectly. You have a choice of connecting wirelessly or by Bluetooth. I chose to use Bluetooth connectivity. The mouse paired instantly when I selected Bluetooth mode. The mouse remains connected without a lag. I am able to do everything I did previously with the Logitech mouse. The only difference is that the battery life is not as long as the Logitech. This mouse takes 1 AA battery compared to 2 AA batteries in the Logitech mouse. ... show more
