I purchased this RAYZEEK 360-degree ceiling mount occupancy sensor in November 2025 for $13.59 (it's now up to $16.99 as of late December) to control my LED shop lights in a 22' x 19' garage with 9' ceilings. Installation was straightforward—wired it into the existing ceiling junction box (neutral wire required, as stated), and it fit perfectly in the center. Overall, I'm happy with it after about a month of use. The 1600 sq ft coverage claim holds up well in my ~418 sq ft garage; lights turn on instantly when I enter (even from the side door), and it reliably detects normal walking/moving around. Adjustable settings for time delay, sensitivity, and light level are easy to tweak via buttons—no tools needed. One downside: It sometimes misses low-motion or stationary activities, like when I'm up on a ladder or crouching down to dig through a parts cabinet. The lights will time out, forcing me to wave my arms or make bigger movements to trigger it again. This is a common PIR sensor limitation (they detect heat changes from movement better than stillness), and while I could extend the timeout to 5-30 minutes, I prefer a quick shut-off (1 minute) to save energy when I leave. Great value for automatic garage lighting—saves me from forgetting to turn off the lights. If your garage involves a lot of stationary work, you might need to adjust expectations or add a manual override switch. Still, 4 stars and I'd buy again for the price and performance! ... show more

I learned this device is protected against reverse polarity. Black is, inexplicably, DC+ input, white is DC - input, and red is DC+ output. Once I realized there were no power LEDs, I checked my wiring colors, and seemed right. Only once I flipped the wires out of the way did I see the legend on the back, where it shows the proper wiring. I assumed I'd killed the unit, but thankfully once wired according to the legend, it worked. Once that issue is dealt with, it works fine - it detects motion well, detects lack of motion well too. The buttons make it easy to configure, and I really like the fit & finish. This is a great sensor, just needs to do a better job of matching best-practice color coding. ... show more
