I have a custom made table and a bench for one side. The standard chairs have never worked. They are too low. I have been looking for a while for chairs that were taller than the average chair but not as tall as counter height. No luck. Found these and they are perfect! This stool is easy to put together and is very nice looking. It is very comfortable and sturdy, but if you plan on sitting on it for long periods, you may want to consider getting one with a back on it.

Didn't work for us. When you sit down on the padding you sink straight down to the wood base. The material collapses over the metal rim . That creates a dangerous unsafe feeling like you are going to melt off the top of the stool. The actual look of the vinyl and metal were like something cheap you would get at a furniture outlet.
