I’m a bit of a Ray-Ban fan and a pair of a pair of these Ray-Ban Rb8062 Titanium Square Sunglasses caught my eye in a display case at Ross (Polished Silver frame and Dark Green lenses). I jumped on them since they were offered at a considerable discount over retail. They’re made in Japan and materials and fit and finish are top notch. However, I can’t imagine paying three or four Benjamins for them. The engraved and polished silver titanium frames are feather light compared to Ray-Ban’s standard metal frames, and comfy on my face. Styling is classic and conservative, basically a diminutive aviator design. They’re on the compact side, so not a good choice if you have a big noggin. The layering and coating of the polarized Chrominance lenses result in an extremely clear, contrasty and glare-free view, trumping my lessor polarized Ray-Bans. Paying extra for Chrominance lenses is worth it! These shades are comparable to the best Maui Jim sunglasses I own. I can step out with the sun in my face and there is no flare or stray reflections. They sell with the standard black case that every other Ban-Ban ships with. In this instance, the case is way oversized and, if you pay full price, you should really receive a more compact and fitted case.
