  • Durable and Stylish New Wayfarers: A Reliable Choice for Active and Casual Use
Color: Matte Black/Polarized Blue Gradient Grey Size: 55 mm
TL;DR: Prefer new Wayfarers for fit, durable for active use, reasonable lens replacement cost, effective lens gradient. Reviewing sunglasses is subjective, but I've been particularly pleased with the fit of the new Wayfarer style, which is slightly smaller than the original and suits my face better. I use them for both casual wear and during outdoor activities like running and coaching. This is my second pair; my first pair, which I've had for two years, is still in good shape despite cracked lenses (due to my own mishap). I appreciated the first pair enough to buy a backup while looking into lens repair options. The polarized replacement lenses from Luxottica are quite affordable at around $59, shipped. The crystal/glass lenses with a blue to brown fade are practical for driving, providing darker coverage at the top and lighter at the bottom for easy dashboard viewing. These sunglasses have endured rough handling, including being tossed in a backpack, dropped, and even stepped on, yet they still retain their shape and fit. The tortoise frame has a nice matte finish, and the hinges have remained firm, albeit slightly looser, over time. The glass lenses offer clear visibility and excellent polarization, showing minimal scratches even after extensive use. Overall, I'm satisfied with my initial purchase and reassured by having a backup. Their popularity also gives me confidence in the availability of replacement lenses in the future. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit
Color: Matte Black/Polarized Blue Gradient Grey Size: 55 mm
The glasse s for my son perfect. The first pair we ordered, the frame was a little small for his face. We returned them and reordered the 55mm. The Matte Black are sharp looking.

  • Look good but slip off
Color: Transparent Grey/Dark Blue Polarized Size: 55 mm
These sunglasses perform as intended, dimming incoming light to an acceptable level. The semi-clear frames look great, and so far they seem to hold up well in my backpack, in the case, when I'm not wearing them. But, something about the sizing in combination with the frame material being slick makes them not want to stay up. They constantly slide down my nose and want to fall off. People tell me that my head is pretty big, but whatever you think of your head size, maybe buy one size down. But they look great! ... show more

  • Great glasses at am amazing price, buy with confidence if you buy directly from Amazon as the seller (not just fulfiller)
Color: Matte Black/Polarized Blue Gradient Grey Size: 55 mm
This review is for the RB2132 Matte Black Polarized New Wayfarer purchased *DIRECTLY* from Amazon LLC. I make no guarantees about the authenticity of glasses purchased from other retailers, even if they are fulfilled by Amazon (not Amazon as the seller). I have been looking for a better deal on these Ray Ban New Wayfarer 2132 Polarized for some time but they never go on sale. My husband bought me the Havana/Tortoise Matte model for full price at Sunglass Hut and while they are great, I did not want to pay full price again but also wanted the Black with gradient blue/grey lenses for additional variety. I was thrilled to see Amazon had this model for just a bit over $100, a huge discount over Sunglass Hut and even cheaper than the non-polarized model. I had read enough reviews here to be slightly concerned that some glasses received by customers were fake, but they did not state whether Amazon was the direct seller or not. We have had some good luck on frequently faked items (perfume/cologne) that were purchased directly from Amazon as the seller (not only fulfilled by), so I decided to take a chance on these glasses. I ordered them on Friday and got them today, and filmed the opening of the box just in case, and I was thrilled to see these were indeed AUTHENTIC RAY BAN. Between my husband and I we have enough real pairs of Ray Ban purchased from SGH to know all the signs of real vs. fake: 1. The lenses are in fact polarized. Just turn your glasses 45 to 90 degrees against your computer monitor, if it goes black and blocks light the lenses are indeed polarized. 2. There is a laser etched "RB" on the left lens. 3. The hinges, texture, weight, and frame were identical to the Havana/tortoise matte pair I already own. 4. The case, button, all silkscreened text, UPC label etc. were all identical to my other Ray Bans and authentic. I really like these New Wayfarers because the fit and slope suit my face much better and they're overall lighter and more comfortable to wear. The lenses actually look much darker than they do in the picture, almost a full black/smoke color rather than a blue gradient. I really prefer the matte frame as it doesn't look like the cheap glossy plastic that is frequently imitated now, and it hides fingerprints much better also. It also won't scratch up as easy. Overall, great buy, don't hesitate to buy from Amazon! ... show more

  • I like the fit of the new wayfarers vs the originals ...
Color: Matte Havana/Polarized Green Gradient Blue Size: 52 mm
Sunglasses are hard to review as they are largely based on personal preference. I like the fit of the new wayfarers vs the originals as they are a little smaller and fit my face a bit better. I use these for casual wear and when I run and am on the field coaching. These are my 2nd pair of the same sunglasses. My first pair are still with me after 2 years, but the lenses cracked (my fault). I liked them enough that I wanted a backup pair while I explored options to repair my first pair. I will say that the first pair has held up very well and the replacement lenses are very reasonable for a polarized lens. About $59 shipped from Luxottica. The lenses are crystal/glass. The blue to brown fade of the lens are nice when driving in he car as the upper half of the lens is darker and if I need to glance down to look at the dash, the lower half of the lens is lighter. I'm pretty hard on my sunglasses and these have been thrown in a backpack, fallen off my head, stepped on, and still fit. The tortoise frame is subtle with a matte finish. The hinge is a little less tight, but still firm after 2 years. The glass lens is super clear and polarization is great. There were a lot less scratches on the lens after 2 years of daily use. Happy with the first pair and glad that I have a backup. They are popular enough to that I feel good that replacement lenses will be easy to find if anything ever happens in the future. ... show more
