    • Saved my kiddo!
Color: Matte Graphite
Review Image by Mrsbradshaw31
Wanted to share the importance of making sure your child has the best protective equipment when playing sports. Keeping them safe is the number one priority. We picked this chin guard up at the start of the tournament at the advice of our coaches. My son has been playing baseball for 4 years and hasn’t worn a chin guard on his helmet. However, this tournament (kid pitch) was against some amazing kiddos that can really bring the heat on the pitchers mound. Our kids are taught to protect themselves at the plate by turning into a pitch to avoid an errant pitch but things can happen in a flash of a fast ball. He took a fast ball to the face and thank god he had that chin guard that took the brunt of it. Left with a swollen cheek but no broken jaw or missing teeth! I am so grateful we got this product and encourage all parents and players to do the same. I can honestly attest this product saved us from a scary injury. He was shook but was able to keep playing and still loves the game!! This product is super simple to install and holds its integrity even after getting whacked by a fast ball. Don’t take any risks, if your kiddos helmet doesn’t have a chin guard, install this one asap!! ... show more

    • Fits but had to take out snap on helmet
Color: Matte Black
I thought this didn't fit our r16s helmet but I had to take out the snap on the helmet then it did fit, just FYI for others who have a snap on the helmet you have to take out the snap on helmet then this will screw into the right holes.

    • Extra face protection
Color: Matte Navy
I purchased this face guard to attach to my sons compatible helmet which is made for it. It fits perfectly, matches his helmet, and looks good. I was worried that it might affect him seeing the ball coming at him, but he said that it does not interfere or anything like that. I like the fact that it gives my son that extra face and cheek protection in case a ball is zipping towards his head and he's not able to get out of the way. Luckily, we haven't had to test it yet, but it's there as extra insurance just in case. I am happy with this purchase. ... show more

    • Good fit for R16 helmets, color isn't a true matte
Color: Matte Scarlet
Went on very easy, screws lined up well. Perfect fit on a Junior R16 helmet. Style is everything for an almost teenager so he was initially concerned that it would be too bulky. Not an issue though, fits better than expected. Only con is the matte scarlet is still a bit shiny in comparison to his helmet. As mentioned in other reviews, the removable piece in the rear of the guard is not matte at all. Not a huge issue but not perfect either. ... show more
