Went on very easy, screws lined up well. Perfect fit on a Junior R16 helmet. Style is everything for an almost teenager so he was initially concerned that it would be too bulky. Not an issue though, fits better than expected. Only con is the matte scarlet is still a bit shiny in comparison to his helmet. My son is on an Academy Team and he gets new batting helmets yearly. Since he’s started playing baseball I’ve always invested in a jaw guard for his batting helmets to protect his face from any wild pitches. This jaw guard doesn’t disappoint. This jaw guard fits on easily and is well made. The inside MLB padding matches his helmet nicely. The only drawback is the Black Matte Color of his Rawlings R16 Batting helmet doesn’t match this Rawlings R16 jaw guard. The jaw guard is a shinier black instead of a matte black. Fits my son's baseball helmet just perfect! However, why would you sell a product that doesn't come with mounting hardware, kinda pissed me off. I was able to use the screws that were on the helmet for the chin strap buttons, but they stick out due to the buttons. No big deal
