I have just started playing, so I am completely novice and do not have a lot of experience with paddles. I got these because I wanted a set for my wife and myself. Two paddles, a bag, and 4 balls for the price seemed like a decent value to me. After getting these and using them a few times, my assessment is the same. These are perfect for beginners and a good value. I have only used laminated, basic paddles previously and even I could tell how horrible they were. These paddles felt much lighter and solid in my hand and did not give me any indication that they would fall apart or be as weak as the cheap laminated ones. They have a nice carbon construction with a plastic trim piece. The handle is a typical soft, comfortable wrap. The wrap does feel a little softer than I'd like, not comfort wise, but long term reliability wise. It just seems that it may wear quickly. That doesn't bother me much though, if I continue to like these paddles, I'll just get new wraps and move on. The balls performed fine, although, like I said I'm a novice, so I don't know what a bad performance would feel like. I was able to enjoy the game and not worry about the quality with the paddles or the ball. The bag worked, but again it was not high quality. It held both paddles fine and the balls went into the front pocket. I'm sure it will work fine for awhile if I don't abuse it. All in all a great choice and I have no complaints,

This is definitely a starter/basic set for someone just testing out if they want to get into pickleball, to have on hand for kids who want to casually play, etc. They aren’t going to be something you play with regularly for a long time, or for anyone getting into pickleball to play competitively against others or get into it more seriously. That said, if you just want to see if you like it, play here and there with kids or grandkids, etc., it’s a perfectly fine set at a really good price. Overall the paddles, balls, and bag are well made (again, at this price point) and functional. They’re stylish, the paddles are light but sturdy (for light use), and our kids used the balls for about 10 games before one of them got a crack. The bag is actually great - honestly it’s the best piece in the set and we’ll definitely have that much longer than the balls or paddles. Overall, great little fun set to keep around for casual players - and perfect to give you an idea if you like the game and want to jump into it more.

Really nice set, especially for the price. You could spend the same amount just to get a couple of pretty basic paddles. These have carbon surfaces, which gives a bit of texture and tooth to your shots, allowing you to put spin on the ball. On top of that it comes with four good quality pickle balls, two lime green and two yellow. On top of THAT, it comes with a bag to carry it all! Pretty sweet. The paddles have a nice grip and seem to be of decent quality. I have an $80 paddle as well that I bought before getting this set, and that one does seem to have a little more bounce when it hits the ball. But this set is more than adequate for an enjoyable game. Was hoping my other two paddles could fit in the bag that came with these two, but the bag isn't made to hold much more than what comes in it. Aside from whatever you might stuff into the front pocket. Bag is of decent quality, nothing astounding but entirely up to the task of holding some paddles and balls. The strap is seatbelt material, strong and smooth. Single zipper pockets. Does the trick, and looks slick enough. I think it's a good set and worth the money for anyone trying to get into the game.

These are AWESOME pickleball paddles! I don't think I realized when I ordered that they come with a backpack, and it's fantastic! The quality is much higher than typical pickleball paddles that you can find in any sports equipment store or online retailer. They are more fun to play with than standard colors, because you can see the blue/ red easily! The value is definitely good. The weight is perfect.
