It is very hard to get started when being towed you have to pull back as hard as you can and sink your body halfway in the water to avoid getting towed under because of weight distribution and tension..overall worked okay and man is it a work out!

Pros: Low profile makes it easier to get on the tube when already in the water, even for smaller kids. Side fins help tubers stay on the tube in turns. Compact design is great for transporting, towing and using the tube. The tube fits in the back of my Nissan Frontier short bed. 5' bed of a mid-size truck. Beats trying to inflate it on the lake and then deflate it before heading home. Cons: The side fins that help the tubers stay on are small separate inflatables. They use the smaller nozzle typically associated with swimming pool tubes, but it is hard to get your mouth in the corner where the nozzle is. So long as you have an inflator with the smaller needle type of attachment it is a piece of cake. It is a small and easily manageable tube for two tubers, but it would be tight with late teens/adults. Two ten year olds is no problem at all - but in 3 or 4 years it will be getting snug. Overall we love this tube, it is a ton of fun, fun for kids to ride together, stable when flung around in the turns, and got some air when whipping them around a turn and over a wake. It was also predictable compared to some other tubes. By that I mean that it was pretty easy to get the tube behind the boat in the wake and keep it there when I wanted to. Compared to other tubes, the tendency of the nose to dive under water at slow speeds was minimal, and when the tubers slid aft at slow speeds, the tendency of the nose to dive was non-existent. ... show more

It seems very durable and the size isn’t huge makes it great for kids but not so much for teens and adults. It’s important they extend their arms to adequately weigh down the back of the tube otherwise it will dive.

This is a good value for a 2 person disk type tube..paid $85 vs $120+ for other models. Yes, this tube will absolutely nose dive if the riders start too far forward or are up on the nose when you are idling out. It's simple to manage...just have people slide back a bit and just make sure you have a snappy start to pop the tube out of the water quickly. My 10 and 12 year old love the nose dive..for them it's a great feature. They like to sink the front and dump their friends off it....they call it duck diving and it's good sport with a cooperating driver. If you want to tow 5 year olds around the lake at low speed, this is not your tube. But for older kids and adults looking for low and fast ride, it's just fine. Another bonus is that it's reasonable small when deflated and fits in the nose area of our Ski Nautique with room to spare. 4 stars vs 5 in recognition of the basic feature set. Features are fine, just not fancy. Construction seems fine as well....we've had the tube out mulitple times now and all is good. Buy this if you are looking to save a few bucks, are ok with managing the nose dive and want a low and fast 2 person disk. ... show more

Husband ordered and there was my first mistake. He never reads details (but why would you if the heading says “2person tube” right? My kids were so excited to finally be able to tube and we pull this bad boy out and open to see how small it actually really is. I would be afraid to put bot my kids on that! So if you buy it just know it is for ONE person. The tube itself was not bad at all. Held up great (but only used it three times) then got a bigger one. ... show more

We have 2 other tubes (one like a couch, one that fits up to 4 and you sort of sit inside a round tube). This one is more for those that want a wild ride and want to get thrown off from time to time. It works great. I would have rated it higher, but we have had 2 minor issues. 1) The zipper that closes up the main tube seems to be forced open by the pressure of weight bouncing up and down on it. We often have to re-zipper it closed. Although there is a velcro strap of sorts that covers the track once it is closed, the zipper head just works its way through. 2) One of the two blow up side fins seems to lose air quickly. Not sure if there is a slow leak or if the valve is leaky. This is not a big deal really and does not affect function. ... show more
