    • Steering Stopped Working After a Few Minutes
This officially licensed Mercedes-AMG G63 looks fantastic. The hard body has very nice scale detail, including the Mercedes-Benz and AMG badges, realistic wheels, and a nicely detailed interior. The front doors and tailgate open, and I really like the functional tailgate latch that operates by turning the spare tire. The body feels durable and could easily double as a display model. The headlights illuminate when driving forward and the taillights light up when reversing, which adds to the scale appearance. The car requires 5 AA batteries and the remote requires 2 AA batteries, which are not included. The controls aren’t the best. It has a very large turning radius and a noticeable delay between the remote and the truck. It makes it pretty difficult to drive in smaller areas without banging into everything. Unfortunately, after only a few minutes of driving around my dining room, the steering stopped working completely. The truck is no longer drivable, but at least it can still be used as a display model. The licensed body is very impressive, but the RC side of this truck is disappointing. Between the poor controls and complete steering failure after only a few minutes of use, I can’t recommend it at this price point. ... show more

    • Excellent scale model in every detail plus it’s radio controlled.
I received several of these RASTAR RC models in 1/26, 1/24 AND 1/11 scale and I have been impressed with every one. As to their capabilities for performance, they would probably only bring four stars at best, but they are definitely a five star product in that their attention to detail is amazing. Whether it’s a Ferrari or Lamborghini or whatever they are all licensed from the car manufacturer and I assume that unlike many RC models that look like the real thing based on designing models from photographs they actually got plans from the manufacturer for the actual cars and trucks and use those to build the molds for the parts for the models. The paint jobs are accurate and very detailed and so the way I look at it is that this is a scale model I want to put on the shelf in my office or den just because it’s so cool to look at and if I want to pull it down off the shelf and run it around the living room floor with the RC remote and that’s just a plus. If you’re into RC modeling whether it be cars planes boats or whatever if you like that scale model that really is identical as much as possible to the real thing this is a great product for you. You will have to pay for the licensing for them to use the name of course. Everything taken into consideration it gets my five stars. ... show more
