These are excellent for garden use due to the long size and the gaskets. Previous garden staples were too shallow to hold anything down, or disappear into the earth.... esp in sandy soil. These seem strong, yet remain adjustable. They are much better for securing fabric(s) as the gaskets prevent ripping. they seemed expensive, but in the end amount to 60c each, especially if they prove to be be long lasting and reusable.

These landscape staples are fantastic! Being extra long, at 12 inches, and made of heavy duty galvanized metal, they are a must have for any serious gardener. I used these staples in a hillside garden, where they have worked exceedingly well. The disks that are included spread out the tension of the staple, and have really helped to prevent tearing of the landscape fabric and sheeting. Other landscape staples that I have used have been problematic in either being too thin, or rusting quickly. These are so far superior, and will likely hold up for a very long time. These are really more stakes than staples, and are so durable that I have used them for a few other things, including as stakes for greenhouse plastic, as well as to hold down a compost bin. For these purposes, they function much better than typical metal tent stakes for the jobs. I have never found any landscape staples of this quality before and highly recommend this simple, well-made and useful product!

I use a lot of landscape staples. I use them to primarily to hold down landscape fabric, hardware cloth and irrigation lines, including small drip irrigation tubes. The biggest problems I've experienced with landscape staples is that they tend to (i) rip the landscape fabric, which defeats the purpose, (ii) squash the small drip tubes so that they get smashed into the soil and clog, or (iii) misshape the landscape cloth to get the staple in tightly enough. These staples WITH gaskets solves these problems and I didn't realize that a product like these gaskets existed! I'm amazed since I'm not a novice gardener! These staples and gaskets work very well and solve these issues. The staples seem to be of good quality, thought I've not used them long enough to comment on their durability, but they seem fine. Overall, an excellent product and for me I'm planning to use gaskets with most if not all of my landscape stapling needs going forward. If these staples fail to perform, I'll update this review.

I got these because those plastic tabs looked very helpful to keep cloth from ripping. They are! I managed to break the connection between the two intended holes, but that didn't matter: there are many weep holes and I simply used those. When the packet arrived, my first thought was that they were too long and I would have to cut them. Boy was I wrong! These ended up being the perfect size for strength. The typical little short ones were only catching some topsoil, and where there had been gophers or critters, were just catching air. What I ended up doing, was using these longer staples for all the critical points, pivots and junctures. I only used those little 4 inch ones for tacks in between. These turned out to be a great buy.

These work great for holding down cords for Xmas lights, spot lights, or weed barrier block as long as the ground it is going into doesn't have many rocks...otherwise they will bend and distort. These are perfect to hold my drip irrigation in place!!

These are excellent, 12-inch heavy-duty landscape staples! They are thick and very sturdy, so they will not bend when you use a hammer to strike the staple into the ground. The ends are sharp which really helps with the task of driving them into hard soil. According to the item description, these staples are made from 12-gauge, rust-proof, heavy-duty galvanized steel that will withstand any outdoor condition! There are 25 staples in this order, and it also came with 25 washers which is great because it prevents losing the staples from being hammered in too deep in the soil and get lost. These are excellent, high-quality landscape staples, and I highly recommend them!

We’re trying to rid our yard of weeds using a few methods that involve covering the ground with different materials. These staples come in handy to help hold down the cardboard we’re using in some places, plastic in others, and weed cloth in the last. The staples are long enough to hold in the ground even with the wind flopping the covers. The plastic discs that keep the staples from going straight through are a must for the weed cloth and plastic. They seem sturdy and like we can likely use them for more than one season.

Used these as extra insurance tie-downs for my 10x10 canopy. Used two at each corner. Worked great and a much better value than traditional tiedowns. Reusable for what they are made for later this summer when I'm not spending too much time in the Florida heat.
