It’s my first time with this kind of product and I felt the price was high for shades of brown markers and crayons, so I bought the cheapest combo pack on Amazon. I’m surprised how well these worked. My experience with this is mainly with cabinets, a dresser, and laminate floors, but here are my real world answers to some questions: Will you see the imperfections if you know where to look? Yes. If you do a good job, will other people be able to find the imperfections even if they stare at it? Maybe, but it can be very difficult to find, at least with darker wood. Will you noticed the imperfections on a normal basis? No. The toughest job was the dresser with the huge bits broken off during a move, but with it at the bottom, I doubt anyone would really notice. The bathroom cabinets had various dings (sorry, Amazon rotated the photos after upload) and that’s the best result for me because I can’t easily find them any more and I definitely don’t notice them like I used to when I’m on the potty. The crayons didn’t do much for the wood furniture, but I had 2 big holes on the floor overlap/transition piece that worked well with the dark crayon + touch-up with a marker. I forget they’re there. No photos on those because I forgot to take a before photo. Note that the markers are permanent. I got a few tiny streaks on tile and it wouldn’t completely come off. It definitely dries fast. Also, if you’re uncertain about the matching, start a little lighter first. The darkness does compound, so if you go with too many strokes, you can get it a shade or two darker. Lastly, bare wood seems to absorb markers best with dabbing. Dabbing with the sharp part of the chisel tip, as opposed to using short strokes, might be the best technique if you have small dings. Not knowing which technique works best is another reason to go with a lighter marker color first. ... show more

My Aunt passed away and left me her Ethen Allen dining room set. Only 1 piece of the set had a flaw, on the top of the 66 year old hutch there was a 1/4' wide 1' gouge on it so i figures i would give these a try before stripping and refinishing the entire top. the colors were not an exact match so i started with a little darker color crayon and followed the directions and the spot was a little darker so i tried rubbing it to lighten it was a better but it was still darker i then took the lighter marker and went over the darker spot, let it dry and did a second time and it was perfect. People that had seen the mark and then saw it after the repair was commented, on how i got it repaired and when i told them, they all said they could not tell it ever had a mark, as they looked up close and said they couldn't find where the mark had been. I have to agree because i did the repair and is is very hard to find, we will see how long it lasts. ... show more

I used this product several times for different wood items and they worked well when I first got them. But over a period of about a year and a half later all of the markers turned green. I don't know what the "shelf life" of similar furniture touch up markers might be, but I have many regular markers that retain their color indefinitely. Can't recommend this product. ... show more

First, I don't know anyone with this company. I wasn't even aware of these markers. I want to talk with all the nay slayers on this!!!! I have laminate floors. Prior to purchasing this home a year ago, the guy who lived here had a wheelchair. My husband got sick and was using a walker. Our 3-year old cottage had some scratches on the floor. I tried everything except replacing the floor (not an option and it was like 20 annoying, small scratches). I am OCD and stuff like that is just totally annoying. Also, the bottom of the cupboards had gouges in them from the wheelchair. He couldn't get close enough to the counters. I had ZERO faith in this product but it was my last thing to try. Don't waste your money on the big expensive stuff. This product is amazing. This OCD gal is so happy and you can't even tell. My floors are maple and my cupboards are cherry. The only way someone would know is if you pointed it out, they got on their knees and probably need a magnifying glass to see it. Thanks for a great product!!! I'll attach pics shortly! ... show more
