  • High quality rake, versatile scoopers.
The rake is a high quality rake that will last for a long time. The adjustable height is very convenient, and saves a lot of pain either needing to bend over for tall people or deal with an unwieldy, awkwardly long handle getting in the way for shorter people. However, the leaf scoopers were what surprised me with their usefulness. They allow for grabbing significantly larger scoops of leaves than you could get with your hands alone, which speeds up leaf pickup time. However, they can also be useful for raking in slightly cramped or confined areas where a rake handle, even a short one, would get in the way. Their flat and curved edges can also be used to scrape leaves along a flat or curved surface super efficiently. Overall, the set is super useful for using around the yard and picking up leaves. ... show more

  • Handy smaller rake with adjustable length
Style: 11 Tines
This is a useful, small-head rake from Pragmatist. The handle uses screw-interlocking segments to provide an adjustable length and the metal head uses spring-loaded pins to lock onto the handle. The metal head works fine, even if the construction of the metallic fan structure is a bit wonky and heavily powder-coated. The value at $20 is ok but there are many competing rakes at this price. ... show more

  • Where Has This Been Hiding?
This rake does everything it claims and more. It doesn't claim to relieve my back pain from raking leaves, but it does! It doesn't claim to get more leaves in a single swipe with a less wide base than my old plastic rake, but it does! It doesn't claim to cut leaf raking time nearly in half, but it does! It claims to be sturdy, and it delivers on that promise. The tines, the handle, the connections, all of it, STURDY. Being able to change the height of the rake handle really does (as corny as it sounds) make it great for the whole family! My six foot 4 inches father has NO back pain after using this gem as he doesn't have to bend. My 5 foot 9 inches self, has NO back pain and can easily reach out and pull in a larger row of leaves in less time...again with no pain! When my 4 foot 8 inch nephew decides he's going to finally help, all that needs doing is unscrewing (easy to do on purpose, difficult to do accidentally) two of the pole connections and BAM, it is the perfect size for him. The additional throw in of the hand-rake-scooper-uppers makes bagging leaves so much easier and faster than the traditional grab massive handfuls and shove them in the bag, hence also relieving back pain. A back will never feel better after the daunting fall task of raking leaves again. I'm looking forward to using it in the spring for grass clippings. OH- I've even used it on my carpet (after cleaning leaf debris off it) as my living room carpet had a lot of worn down, high traffic areas. Worked like a charm. The carpet will never look new again, but it sure looks better than it did! ... show more

  • Well made & right price
This all metal rake works like a dream. The rake head is just as wide as my old leaf rake but it is shorter in stature (squatty). The handle is 6 inches longer than my old wooden handle rake making it easier for me to work a larger area at a time. I don't have to worry about splinters with this handle like my old rake. That's a huge bonus. The overall feel of the rake is great. It has a good but light weight feel yet it is sturdy enough to last a life time. I love the little leaf collectors. They have plastic back handles to put over your hands so I'm not sure how long those will last but they are quite useful. Overall, the price of this set is in line with others of this same style. The overall build quality is great. The weight is good and I am highly pleased with this acquisition. 5 stars! ... show more

  • Sturdy Long Handle Rake
This rake was pretty easy to put together. I love the long handle as it helps get into areas which are otherwise not possible to reach. I can use this long handle rake to collect dry leaves and twigs from behind the bushes easily. The metal bar holding the tines together is a great design because it will keep the tines in shape. My older rake does not have this bar and all the tines are misaligned. The shape of the rake seems a little too curved but I got used to it after a few days. This also comes with a set of leaf grabbers which are helpful when bagging leaves. I have another set of leaf grabbers which is better made than this but for smaller jobs these also work ok. This is a nice rake if you have mature trees in the yard and have to rake the lawn during fall. ... show more

  • Solidly built rake
This is the second metal rake I've recently reviewed and I really like the small but significant features this one incorporates. First, the rake itself attaches to the handle with snap pins which are preferred over screw-on threads (threads can loosen as one is raking which results in stopping, tightening, etc). Also, the back of the rake has round reinforcements bars connecting the tines. Round is stronger than flat and should allow for greater longevity. The handle can be adjusted for different sizes of humans. I'm 6'4" and need the entire length. Small humans such as my grandsons can remove a section so they can chase each other...or rake, with greater efficiency. The rake set also comes with two leaf grabber thingies. I suppose they could also double as a back scratching tool for your pet grizzly. ... show more

  • Seems like a sturdy rake!
I haven’t used it yet but it seems pretty sturdy after screwing the different pieces together, which was a self-explanatory process (although instructions are included). I didn’t use the additional section of metal handle, but it is available for super-tall people. It also comes with those plastic yellow claw things to help with bagging up leaves. I can see them being helpful for cleaning up the awful thorny bushes in my backyard after pruning as well! So overall, I’m quite pleased and recommend this rake for all your lawn debris clean-up needs. ... show more
