The ukulele is the centerpiece and it holds a tune better than I expected for a kids set, with nylon strings that are easy on little fingers and a size that works well for ages 3 to 6. Having the tambourine, hand bell, clarinet, guiro, and maraca all included means multiple kids can play together or one kid can experiment with different sounds, and it keeps them engaged way longer than a single instrument. The wood construction feels solid, not like cheap plastic, and the green finish is smooth with no rough edges or splinters. It’s clearly Montessori inspired because it encourages exploration, rhythm, and coordination without batteries or lights, and everything stores in the included bag so pieces don’t end up lost under the couch. My kiddo carries the ukulele around and strums while we use the percussion pieces for music time, and it’s been great for birthdays and rainy day play. A couple things keep it from being perfect. The clarinet is more of a whistle than a true instrument and won’t produce real notes, so manage expectations there, and the guiro and maraca are on the small side and could be a mouthing hazard if you have younger siblings under 3. Tuning the ukulele takes some patience and it doesn’t stay in tune for days, you’ll be retuning before each session if you want it to sound decent. I got this seven wooden musical instrument set and it’s been a hit in my house since it came. I have an almost 4 year-old and a six month old. Who both enjoy music. The baby likes to play with the maraca and the bells. My four-year-old plays with it all. The pieces seem very durable and made out of solid wood material. The instruments sound really good. The ukulele is actually real and can be tuned and used. The instruments are safe as they are made of wood and nontoxic paint. They also have rounded edges so that your child won’t get cut or her enemy of the parts or pieces of the instruments. My set has already gotten plenty of use and is still going strong. The kids have definitely thrown the pieces on the floor and stepped on a few things and nothing has broke yet. The only instrument I find a bit annoying would be the recorder as the kids like to blow this around the house. The design is cute with green painted wood and white painted wood, as well as just the wood itself. The tambourine comes with a cute little rabbit on it to match the instruments.

I received this 7 in 1 wooden music set through the Vine program, and overall, it’s a wonderful little collection for young children. The instruments are surprisingly good quality for a toddler toy set, with smooth finishes and a durable feel. Just as a quick heads-up, the included "clarinet" is actually designed more like a toy recorder, which makes it much easier and more intuitive for little kids to play with. What really caught me off guard was the mini ukulele. You obviously shouldn't expect the rich, beautiful sound of a full-sized instrument, but I was genuinely surprised and happy that I was actually able to tune it. It’s a lovely touch for a toy set, and down the road, I might even try putting a different set of strings on it just for fun to see what kind of sound I can get out of it. Music is such an important thing to introduce to kids early on and foster throughout their lives, and this set is a great way to kick that off. Between the tambourine, hand bell, maraca, guiro, and the rest, there's plenty here to keep a child entertained while exploring different rhythms and sounds. It really is a delightful introductory set.

This is such a sweet musical set for younger kids. My 5-year-old daughter immediately wanted to try every single instrument, and I love that there are enough different pieces that she can experiment with different sounds rather than getting bored with one instrument after a few minutes. The wooden pieces have a really cute, natural look and feel much nicer than the brightly colored plastic musical toys we've had over the years. My 8-year-old even joined her and they started trying to make their own little songs together. Obviously, having multiple instruments in the hands of two kids isn't exactly a peaceful activity, but they had a blast. It's a great screen-free set and would make a really nice gift for a younger child.

This kids’ musical instrument set is great. I’m giving this to my little niece who is almost four. Our entire family is musical, and she is going to get hours of play with this set. Not only does it encourage creativity and musicianship, but music has been proven to stimulate many areas of learning. It will also enhance her fine motor skills. These well-made instruments are the perfect size for little hands. They have such a quality appearance and for toys, the sound is really pretty good. I love the fact that there are not only percussion instruments, but melodic instruments as well. This set is a great value for a high quality set. The ukulele set has been quite disappointing for the $40 price point. But the material that is used to make these are nice as a toy. To begin, although the ukulele has pegs to tune, once you finish tuning and you hold the fret, the notes are completely off which means that the only chord you can ever play is Am7. For what is advertised as "Precision Tuning. Adjustable Tone" I would expect a ukulele that can actually be tuned. I have another $10 toy ukulele that is completely made of plastic that tunes better than this. The only pro is that it is indeed shaped like an actual ukulele that the toddler can hold and play, and it is pretty accurate in shape. The next is the wooden flute. Even the cheapest flutes can hold a proper tune. However, this one can not. Covering the holes, the flute does indeed do go up in notes in some sort of manner, but it is certainly not in any organized notes. The triangle sounds quite cheap, and the stick and string is small enough that I don't think I can recommend to 3 year olds even though this product is advertised as so. The rest of the instruments sound fine, at least to me for its purpose. Overall, if you are simply looking for toys for toddlers that can be pacified with what are shaped like realistic looking musical instruments, this toy would work for you. However if you want to build any sort of musical skill with the ukulele or flute with your toddler, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere. It feels like a big waste of potential since the parts that these are composed of are nice, and with a bit of adjustments, these can be fine instruments. But it is all wasted when it does not serve its purpose. Seeing the shape, material, and build, perhaps this is a quality control issue, and perhaps I just got some duds, but this was my personal experience with this set.
