I had ants on my kitchen countertop because I had a bad habit of tossing some forms of trash into a paper bag that wasn't covered. Once I began properly disposing it in a lived trashcan and taking basic steps to keep the countertop cleaner, the ants were reduced somewhat, but searching endlessly for another source of food. I put down these ant baits near every spot they tended to congregate, and within 3 days, I stopped seeing live any live ants. The trick is to obviously eliminate any other food source. I am not surprised by some of the low reviews that state ants will prefer other food sources over these baits. You need to keep things fairly clean to expect these to work.

The ants don't like the white plastic surface, there was no takers at first. They should really make the plastic flatter. What I did was to add peanut oil in small dabs to the side. Once ants swarmed the trap, eventually they'll find the poison and the rest is history. I baited the bait so the trap can trap. I take off one star for the casing material but the poison REALLY works.

I’m just a little bit iffy on this one because sometimes they seem to work really well and sometimes they don’t seem to work too well at all. I do like them but they don’t stick to anything which is why I’m wondering about the adhesion question in the pole but when they do work they seem to stop the ants so that’s a good thing

Every spring I get these little tiny ants that can crawl in the very small space under my door. I just bought more for this year. Last spring I got them and put some right near the door where they come in and it took care of the ants in short order. It had more than I needed so I put some in the garage near the other door where I think they can get in. It took care of all the ants in the garage for the entire year. I decided to start with fresh ones this spring and not wait for the infestation to start. I hate using pesticides and live and let live with outside insects but once they enter my home, all bets are off! These work great and I'm looking forward to not having to deal with ants this year

My entire neighborhood sits on a giant anthill, and every spring we all get ants without fail. Usually sending out traps kills the ones swarming my bathtub and stuff, but the ants don't seem interested in these traps. OR the bait is less effective.

This is my 3rd year having to use these. The ants seem to love the house during heat waves. First year battled ants for a month than put these down. 2nd year figured I needed them after a week and a half. This year at first sight put a bunch down. They do take a week or two to stop the ants. Also needed a lot of them, primarily in kitchen as we have an old house with many doors. All years the smaller ants were the first to disappear than the bigger ones. This year first small who disappeared than the bigger ones. Also had to put cat food bowls in bigger bowls with water. Each year once the ants stopped, did not return until next year. I did not keep them down year round. I think they are safe to use putting behind stove or under overhang from floor cabinets or dishwasher. Also put some on my counters but back in out of the way places. My cats don't seem to be interested in them. If you have multiple ways for ants to get in, you will need multiples of these, but they work.

Last week I noticed a lot of ants in my home. I have never had an ant problem. I was able to local where they were coming from outside and took care of that area with another treatment. I was looking for a product that I could place safely on the floor, meaning no liquids spilling out of traps, on the floor in corners or up against the walls out of the flow of traffic. I tried to place them where I saw the ants. I placed then down and was hoping they would work within a few days as stated in the top reviews. Nope, they did nothing sadly. I have never spent this amount of any traps to have them do nothing. But I did with these. I wish I would have read the most recent reviews, not the top reviews. The top reviews were mostly glowing. Recent, all one stars. I came here tonight and noticed I too am going to be giving them one star. They did absolutely nothing for the ants inside. In fact, the ants are still walking around like they own the house. Now if I can get them to start paying rent, I might be able to work something out. 🤔 Don’t buy if you want to rid ants in a few days will results. I have no results from these.

I placed a couple down in the heart of ant country in hopes of taking back territory lost to the ants. I observed their reactions to the traps, first sending in a test subject to presumably eat the bait. Although I couldn’t see the inside, the ant came out of the little holes hyper and began running around very fast. After enough peer pressure and cult-like thinking, the others began going in the trap and carrying the bait back to base. I watched as more and more ants came out of hiding and were running around so happy to find such a tasty treat. They were dead by sunrise. I was left tortured by the thoughts of what I had just done to an entire community of living beings. These ants perfected their society, everyone understood what their job was and how it fit with the greater goals of the colony. It was a well oiled machine, unlike anything I’d ever seen before, and I wiped it clean for the modest price of $11.86. But that’s just war baby
