We have only used it indoors on carpet for months now. Mine prefers the scooter version. The seat version they scoot really far towards the front and it just looks awkward how far they scoot themselves forward, not like the other sit and rides where it is a bulkier base and closer handle. My grandson loves this! His legs are a little short to reach the ground quite yet. He just turned 1 and is on the smaller side. He still loves to walk and push it and loves when we push him on it. I thought that with it being radio flyer that it would be metal. However it is plastic. Guess I should have known for the toys they make nowadays. However he still loves is and will be able to use it for a few years. It is a ride on and turns into a scooter. The handles adjust up and down and the scooter insert flips over do sit or stand. The bike is excellent for both my 1-year-old and my 3-year-old. For the 1-year-old, I use it as a ride-on, and for the 3-year-old, I switch it to a scooter. They really enjoy it! The quality looks good, and although assembling took some time, it wasn't too difficult.

It is very plasticky and does not feel very stable. Also super close to the ground Which makes it hard to go. Wheels are not very smooth either.
