Bought this for my nephew and he immediately got the hang of it. The quality is good, not fantastic. Everything goes together well with easy-to-follow instructions. I anticipate the most likely failure point will be the axles on the two large wheels, but that remains to be seen. I would say do not exceed the 65 pound weight limit and it will last a few years. We wrapped one band of electrical tape around the large wheels to give them a little better traction on bare floors. ... show more

Great little ride on toy! We purchased this for our daughter who has Spina Bifida as an inside alternative to her wheelchair. It was very easy to assemble and lightweight. She's only 2 so it's a bit big for her, instead of using the hand pegs she just pushes the wheels, but her other siblings who are 3, 7, 9 have no problems at all making it go. My only wish is that it came with some type of rubber wheel or grip tape to help it have more traction on tile & wood floors. The plastic wheels tend to slip a lot especially if the child doesn't weigh enough. ** Update - our daughter's therapist found out that you can call Radio Flyer's customer service line & request an additional piece that velcros on to help kids without leg control. So that way their feet don't fall through!! As far as we know the piece can be ordered free of charge - How Awesome is That!??! ... show more

Our 2 and 4 year old boys absolutely loved this when we got it for them for Christmas less than 3 months ago. I was thrilled to get something they enjoyed so much. Last week all that excitement came to a screeching halt when the plastic near the axle cracked and made the bike unusable. I thought I might get a replacement wheel, but the wheel is half the cost of the whole thing new plus shipping. So now I don't know what to do with it. I will also mention that it has only been used indoors riding between the kitchen and living room so it hasn't been outside or in any harsh usage. My grandkids love these! the 5 year old and two 3 year olds all took to this really quick and were able to maneuver thru doors and around corners within a matter of minutes. The only thing I wish was that the seat or foot plate could be adjusted as one of the twins was just a smidge too short to reach the foot plate comfortably. I added a block and all was good but it would have been great if it could have just been moved forward a little. But they all really enjoy them. it was a great move forward from the cozy coups and whatnot of their first riding experiences. ... show more

Bought for my 48lbs 4 year old. The wheels are a hard smooth plastic like the tops of plastic picnic tables or kayaks. Thus there is minimal traction regardless of flooring type. On my plans vinyl it spins out barely catching enough to move. Assembly was easy though the left vs right side of the frame isn't specified so you have a 50% chance of mucking it up. I meant to write a review when I bought this 2 1/2 years ago, so I can give you a REAL accurate review now. We bought this for our grandson with Spina Bifida. He LOVES this. He calls it his "bike", and he goes all over with it! During the course of 2.5 years, he's broken 1 of the wheels, but this was NOT because of poor manufacturing. It was just a result of being played with sooo much. It's provided him with the mobility that all the other kids have. I really wish they made a bigger version of this. I'm really dreading when he outgrows it. Radio Flyer, if you're reading this, please think about making a solid wheel with rubber tires, like a bike. There may not be a huge market for it, but I saw another review that was for a child with Spina Bifida. I know I would gladly pay for wheels that extend his mobility beyond flat surfaces! ... show more
