  • Pros + Cons
Color: Black
Pros: It feels sturdy enough for the price, it folds nicely and easily, it’s comfortable to me, it’s got good adjustability, and it all assembles nicely Cons: The plate for the shifter does have a little too much wiggle in it, however if you tighten the screws the wiggle goes away, the top of the seat is curved inward a little too much (but it doesn’t actually feel that bad), and there is no where to put the wires (however you could just buy your own wire holders). All in all, it is great for the price and works very well for sim racing, I would definitely recommend this ... show more

  • Fantastic Value for my 150lb son
Color: Black
Got this for Christmas for my 14 year old 150lb son. He plays F1 racing, other sims and then occasionally other games that don't involve steering wheels and pedals. He reports that it's super comfortable and it looks brand new after two months of heavy usage. It was easy to assemble, took maybe 30 minutes to get steering wheel and pedals and wires all routed nicely, but that inclued gathering tools and taking our time. Very straightforward and everything was top notch. I will update the review if something changes but so far, IMPRESSED! ... show more

  • Worth it!
Color: Black
I was a bit hesitant to order this due to conflicting reviews of this gaming cockpit/chair thingy. I was looking for a portable mounting solution for a Logitech G920 wheel and pedal package. I was set on purchasing a stand that I could pull up to my sofa and play just as quickly as I could fold it up and put it away. With a similar chair thingy already in my cart I stumbled upon this product as an item I might need (I guess algorithms can mess up from time to time). After glancing over the photos of this item I felt confident enough to swap it with the one already in my cart. The item is well packaged for what it is. If you take your time unpacking it you will find instructions, final assembly hardware along with 2 different size hex keys. One is for the hardware to secure your wheel and pedal system to this thingy. The smaller key is used to adjust the placement of the wheel prior to securing the wheel to the mounting plate. This is critical if your primary concern is vertical wheel movement during play. This company gives you the ability to minimize this movement based on your mounting and seating position. The less leverage in the final seating position equals the reduced vertical movement. You’ll also find simple cable management straps. During assembly I opted to use washers when securing the wheels and pedals. The screw heads are just barely larger than the holes in the mounting plates. Now here’s some things that were not brought to my attention when reading about this item at the time of purchase. This is a quality product for the price point. Branded versions of this chair were over $100 more at the time of purchase. There is every possible adjustment for comfort. Including Velcro tension straps on the bottom and back of the seat. You can increase the tension for more support if you have back issues (at least for me.) You can lock the seat back in different positions to account for your height. Once you figure out your comfortable position you can adjust the seat back angle for comfort. There’s room for to shift pedal position to the left or right for additional comfort. So you’ve come this far - let’s talk about the weak link. There are spring loaded clamps that connect the pedal support to the chair. I believe it is the intention of the manufacturer to allow you to disconnect this unit from the seat if you’re on the taller side. They are needed when it comes time to fold the entire system up. They can get a bit tangled when folding the system up. Pay attention to them and you’ll avoid displacement or possible damage to these clamps. There are no photos demonstrating how compact the unit is when folding it away for storage with your wheel and pedal system. Look at your system and that will allow you to gauge how much wider it will be when folded this way. Keep that in mind if you’re dealing with tight storage space. When folded with the wheel and pedals attached it will stand on its own and be difficult to knock over once stood up correctly. I paid under two hundred for this plus an additional twenty percent off at time of check out. To move up in quality and rigidity would have cost more than double. A more expensive option does not stow away as compact as this. So keep that in mind. If you’re the type of gamer that puts everything away when you’re not playing this is the choice for you. I feel like I got my moneys worth and then some. If I paid one hundred dollars more I would still feel like I got a quality product. Once set up correctly this will be as rigid as you can expect. I don’t detect any movement even when on carpet. I suppose if you’re a bit animated during play you might be able to shift it a bit. Knocked off one star for having to add washers and the clumsy clamps. No regrets! ... show more

  • Very good to start sim racing
Color: Black
For reference, I’m 6’2” and weigh 190 pounds, and it’s very comfortable. The build quality is solid and feels very stable. It’s perfect for small rooms and easy to fold, even with everything installed. You can also bolt the wheel and pedals from underneath for extra stability and safety. I’m using a G29 wheel and pedals. ... show more

  • Couldn't Be More Pleased!!
Color: Black
My brother surprised me this Christmas with a Logitech G29 steering wheel with optional shifter. I mounted it to a TV stand out of the box but quickly realized that just wasn't going to work. I looked at many racing simulator cockpits but this one in particular stood out. I have a very tight space so needed something that would fold up when not in use but also wanted something that would be more than just a lawn chair with a steering mount and not break the bank. I have spent a good 18 hours in this simulator and I couldn't be happier with it. I am 6 foot and the seat fits me very comfortably and the pedal mount adjustments are plenty long enough for accurate leg room. Another nice feature is that the steering wheel and gear shift mount hinge to one side when getting in and out of the chair so no special tricks for getting in and out of the chair. There is also a stabilizer foot so when the steering will is hinged up, the chair doesn't tilt over, (it feels very stable with this steering wheel in the hinged up position). Another thing I really like about this setup is where the actual shifter mounts, a lot of the simulatora have the gearshift right by the steering wheel but this one mounts it a bit lower for more of a natural feeling of having it in the center console. This bracket can also be mounted on left or right to simulate right hand drive cars if desired. The only thing I did run into that you will want to watch for is during the assembly, the bolts that hold the ratcheting supports are longer than the diameter of the tube frame so you will just want to lightly snug these up with the provided allen wrench to prevent frame damage, (believe this is where some people have had troubles by forcing it tightly against the frame and weakening tube frame). I put a little medium thread lock on these bolts to prevent them from backing out. Overall, I am very pleased with this simulator, it's honestly nicer than I was expecting. If you are looking for a foldable simulator for a fair price then look no further. ... show more
