I picked up this retro handheld console mainly for some nostalgia, it turned out to be more fun than I expected. The 4-inch screen is sharp, colors are bright, it doesn’t feel tiring even after playing for a while. The buttons have a satisfying click, makes playing old fighting or platform games more enjoyable. I got this gaming device because of the nostalgia that came with it, and it is still really fun. The screen of the Game Boy is bright and clear, and thankfully, the screen isnt just 3 pixels that are almost impossible to read. I can read the lines with no issue, and I can play the game without trying to figure out how to play. (Even though I used to play, I kind of forgot how to play some of the games.) There are instructions, but I still remember how to start the Game Boy and play it. The portable design and included storage bag make it easy to take on the go, whether traveling or just relaxing at home. Battery life is pretty solid too, so you can play for hours without needing a charge.

I got this gaming device mostly because of the free childhood nostalgia that comes with it. The screen of the Game Boy is better and brighter than it used to be. Or my memory just sucks. The Game Boy has definitely upgraded, since I can read any lines on the Game Boy without trying to figure it out. I forgot how to play most of the games, but after playing for a few hours, I unrusted and I finally went back to being good. The handheld design is comfortable to hold, and the included storage bag makes it easy to take anywhere.

It comes preloaded with a ton of games, over 18,000 which honestly felt overwhelming at first, but after some browsing, I found plenty of childhood favorites tucked in there. The gaming system runs smoothly, and the controls are pretty responsive once you get used to the layout. It’s lightweight and portable, perfect for long commutes or even just relaxing on the couch. The memory card has plenty of space, and I like that you can add more games later if you want to customize your collection. It’s not without minor quirks. I received this R36MAX retro game console, which includes the main handheld unit, a 64GB TF card pre-loaded with games, a storage bag, and a charging cable, but does not include headphones, a little over a week ago. I have been using this item during my commute and in the evenings to play classic games, appreciating its portability and extensive game library. This game console really takes me back to the early 2000s, not just aesthetically but also the functionality of it! Super cool that they have the original buttons that came with these kinds of consoles while also having a high tech screen. The screen is very high quality and runs smoothly, the pixels are clear unlike the old consoles we used to have. Both the buttons and the screen are responsive to whatever game I insert. It’s portable and I can play it almost anywhere I would like, making it a really fun past time during road trips. But I think this is a cool compromise between retro and modern!
