Brown side grips for releasing help when hot
I actually like this better than one I got from a popular jewelry company that sounds like a river. I like the brown grips on the sides versus it being all metal which can burn fingers when releasing it. It grips jewelry pieces tight too. I'm curious to see how it does over time, if the ends of the tips will warp like my last one. So, far it seems unphased from the heat. I really like it. It's heavy and doesn't move. Would definitely order again. Was such a great value too.

Sturdy little tool, good value for price
I got this tool for making jewelry out of beach treasures (shells, agates, tiny driftwoods) it is sturdy and well made I can’t use it on some of the more delicate pieces but I can use it to hold the various findings so it is still helpful with small or delicate projects

Doesn't hold it's position
A very cheap version of this tool. Doesn't stay where you put it no matter how hard you crank. Only one joint will be stationary. Also hurts your fingers to crank the butterfly screws. It's Going back. Do to yourself a favor and Invest in a better one.
