  • Excellent value and great customer service
I very rarely write reviews, but I do usually read them. Anyway this tent is a great deal. Yes, it requires some extra work to get it anchored properly and the little stakes it came with are not sufficient for a long term installation. A few strong ground anchors and some strapping to the frame will make a big difference. Yes, the poles are a little thin, be careful when assembling so nothing gets bent and it is surprisingly strong once constructed. We had some pretty strong winds and the cover tore a bit at the corners. Customer service was excellent. Very fast response and replacement cover shipped (and was delivered) quickly. Very satisfied with the value for the price. If you expect a hurricane shelter, look elsewhere. But it has made an amazing greenhouse for plant starts and I’m glad I bought it. ... show more

  • Good with reinforcements (see video)
The media could not be loaded. Like others have stated, the poles are a joke and very easily bendable. Be careful if you use a screw gun to save time because you will bend your poles if you overtighten. Don’t use the written instructions or step-by-step pictures for assembly. The only think you need is the first pic at the top the has the numbers on it. Two of us put it together in a little over an hour. The stakes and rope that come with it will not be suitable for this application. We purchased 12” spiral tie down anchors (another $60-80) because we have very high winds. We ended up using the rope because I thought it would be fine, but we snapped a couple of pieces tying down so I’ll be replacing that soon. The anchors are at every point and holding well! Cross-crossed the rope over the top and tied down. Lastly, we put what broken bricks and blocks we had around the outside. I’ll need to get some more. The plastic is fantastic! Went on very easily and I love the double doors and zipper which will be very necessary for us to use come summer. The only improvement there would be is to add more Velcro at every cross section to help hold the plastic to the frame. Right now there is only Velcro at the ends. We reinforced the frame by adding an additional conduit header (I was floored how much stronger this was) and middle column support poles. I almost wish I had just purchased or made a pipe bender and made our own conduit frame and then just purchased the plastic cover from the company to go on it. Probably would be cheaper in the long run. We had moderate winds last night with gusts at 50 mph and that will be increasing tonight. This morning, the only thing that came loose is the doors had flapped out from under their bricks, so I’ll add more there. Otherwise, structure is good and strong, albeit creaky in the wind (you can hear it on the video I made). I’ll update if things change. Update 3/19/2022: They are still holding strong! We ended up purchasing thicker 3/8” rope to tie it down with as thinner rope snapped a few times on us probably due to UV damage. This one is working well and should last several years. The winds have been crazy!! We are in the high desert so we see winds. The plastic has seen some damage this year because of it flapping and rubbing against the metal bars. I’m hindsight, I wish I had reinforced some of those edges with tape. I plan to use some greenhouse tape to patch up the holes from rubbing and reinforce a couple of edges, but I suspect I can get another two years at least with this plastic. One more thing: do not open the zipper to the very very top. This caused it to slip off its tracks. It’s easily avoidable if you always leave about a half inch still zipped when you open/roll up the doors. ... show more

  • Highly recommend
We live in Colorado. Some may not realize how windy it is here (ok, not as crazy as MANY places!), but we have pretty steady winds of 30mph during the summer months, and regularly we have gusts of 60+. I will start by saying (as with any product in the wind) you CAN NOT anchor the cover down. I know it's tempting, no one wants the sides blowing up 5' off the ground, but if you can resign yourself to being ok with it, you may, too, survive the summer. The frame was not super easy to assemble, but honestly, I don't think we've ever had an "easy" time on project stating "some assembly required." Pay attention to the photos on the Amazon listing, they are better than what we received (what is it with instructions anymore?? Was someone sued for giving good instructions and so now every manufacturer in the world gives the vaguest possible ones??). HOWEVER! It is steel, a HUGE plus and the difference maker on a greenhouse. We dug our base layer into the ground a couple inches (which lowered the 6' 7" clearance, but, peace of mind is worth something!) On the cover, we used the Velcro straps to attach the cover to the frame and that was it. When it got windy the windows would all fly open and when it got REALLY windy the whole cover would come up off the ground several feet, but it survived! During the day we would lay 4"x4"s on the sides to keep critters out, and then the wind would roll them right off when it needed to "breathe." Critters stayed out, we got our lettuce (yes, it grew ALL summer!), kale, corn (right down the middle, our sweet corn did perfect), beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, cantaloupe, strawberries, etc. to grow fantastic all through the summer. We let the temps get to about 100-110 before we had flowers, then we opened it up. When everything was flowering we opened it by 8AM allowing for the pollinators to freely enter. We then zipped it up before the sun went down each day. It was like a jungle in there! At the end of summer we started our winter crop of wheat, more lettuce, kale, broccoli and garlic. In Dec, a freak windstorm with winds over 80mph hit our city, took down huge 2'+ diameter trees all over our neighborhood and knocked out power for 3 days. Well, out greenhouse cover did not survive. I was so sad, but I notified the company to see if I could purchase a replacement cover from them and they responded SO quickly (less than a day on every email that I sent). They asked for photos of the damage and apologized for the defective cover (it was NOT defective and I told them so, but they still treated it as if it was!) and they sent out a new one which came in about 3 days time. I am so incredibly impressed with this company. We were looking at purchasing a couple new more solid structures for costing many thousands of dollars for this year's growing season, but after my experience with these guys I ordered a second one from them instead! I cannot express how highly I recommend this company. ... show more
