  • Good portable greenhouse...Fantastic customer service!
Style: 56x56x77 Green
Very quick shipping and arrived well packaged. Even though it is a single page of instructions it basically repeats a pattern and once you have it figured out goes together quickly. I did give every joint a tap with my fist to seat them in and it makes a click sound when it is well seated. Has survived a couple decent wind storms, I do have weight on the bottom frame to help hold it down. It's decent size for a homeowner and I am 5'11 and can stand up straight in the middle. Bought a thermometer and a decent heater and even on very low heat on a 30° night it keeps it 50° inside. The windows are a must compared to other manufacturers that do not have windows on their portable greenhouses. Without the windows rolled up on a mid-march day it can reach 90 to 100°, with the windows rolled up it cools down nicely to 70. My one criticism would be that the tie on straps to hold up the front door when it is rolled up are too short to actually reach around and tie effectively. It needs easily four to six more inches in strap length to tie. And for ease I would recommend that the manufacturer switch to velcro straps to hold it up instead of trying to tie it. What is most important is that there was a small 2-inch rip along the seam when first putting on the cover and I contacted the seller who immediately responded and sent a replacement cover within days. They get an a+ for great customer service! A big thank you to Rainy for the prompt help when I reached out. Is this a stable long-term greenhouse with polycarbonate sides?.....No it is not, but for something that I plan on setting up in February and breaking down every June just to get a jump start on perennial bareroot plants that arrive in the mail it serves the purpose well. ... show more

  • The cover definitely doesn't hold up well to the sun...
Style: 56x56x77 Green
I purchased this in April 2021. Overall, I would actually rate this about 3.5 stars. It wasn't too difficult to assemble, but I managed it by myself (I have limited use of one arm due to surgeries). I put this out on my deck and, being in Michigan, secured it with a ratchet strap over the top and connected that to buckets filled with rocks to keep it from blowing away. During the worst winds, I put another ratchet strap around the lower part and secured it to my deck—otherwise it would be in OZ, in a dozen pieces. The screening on the windows held up for about a year, then deteriorated. I bought screen patch at first, then gave up. The screen for the door did okay until last fall. The framework is still doing alright, for the most part. The shelves were flimsy from the beginning and the zip ties they send break as you put them on. Those that don't only last a couple of months. There are clips sold by another company that may help secure the shelves better for around $13. That said, would I buy this again? Probably. For the price point, it's pretty much a disposable product. I started a lot of seeds in it, and it did well. I used glass hurricane lamps with candles inside for heat during the coldest parts of spring and fall, and it kept everything alive. The cover has holes in it after this last winter, so it's pretty much unusable now. I'm debating on whether to just order a replacement cover (from another company, since I can't find one sold by Quictent) or to order another complete kit, since I like the screen door and window options. I'll probably go with the latter option. I may search for a product to apply to the screen and cover to see if I can extend the life for a year or so - or just take it down or cover it with a protective tarp every fall (which would be much smarter, lol). ... show more

  • 10/10 Customer Service and a great started grow tent
Style: 56x29x77 Clear
I decided to go with an open box greenhouse to take advantage of the $20 savings. It said Used-Like New and that the box would be damaged. It arrived looking fine but 2 ceiling poles were the wrong size. I messaged Quictent on instagram and they immediately sent out the correct poles to remedy this. Once the poles came about 3 days later I went to put the cover on but noticed a fairly large tear at the seams. I again messaged Quictent on instagram and they have assured me they will send out a new cover. So that’s nice to not have to stress about making a bad decision getting a used one. The tent itself seemed complicated at first but once you separate out the various poles and connectors it goes together pretty logically. And it comes with lots and lots of plant markers, S hooks, sufficient zip ties, etc. The cover is thin so be careful when putting it on, it would be easiest with two people so you aren’t constantly adjusting it and in danger of tearing the thin material if you don’t get it one just right. It seems like it will do a fine job of keeping my cacti and other overflow plants who don’t have a place inside warm for the winter. It is very lightweight so I am weighing the corners down with some large rocks I have lying around. As a precaution I also picked up a little personally heater from BB&B to plug into an extension outlet for any snowstorms or prolonged freezes. Hopefully it has some sort of auto off feature for not overheating it, it did seem to get fairly warm even a couple minutes after installing the cover. I’ll also be using a portable humidifier and I think it will work nicely with the tent. I got my tent for $60 open box but right now the listing with coupon is $65, so I wish I would’ve waited a bit for that instead of having to bother them about replacement so just get it new if you can. Really looking forward to filling it up! ... show more

  • Better than expected!
Style: 56x29x77 Clear
I was very surprised! I thought this was supposed to have PVC pipes and I was very surprised that this product has metal rods! I don't understand why so many people say it's flimsy? Mine was incredibly stable. However mine is indoors, perhaps outside with wind? The cover also reaches to the floor and then some, so it will keep in heat and humidity. It was also quite a bit bigger than I expected! It has a regular door as well as a mesh door option wich was also a pleasant surprise! The mesh for the shelves works fine as long as you use the zip ties provided to secure them.10 out of 10 recommend! ... show more
