  • Very Impressed with value!
Color: White
I have had my car canopy for 3 years now. I take it down in the winter so this is a 3 season only. Assembly is easy. I can do it by myself if I assemble the top frame first and with it still on the ground I install the top canopy. From there I can carefully work each side up and install the uprights. I do recommend having a second person though. I live in a windy area with gusts and high sustained winds at times. I accept that this is not rated for that, but it has held up well. I do have it heavily weighted down (each upright anchored with 40lb sandbag) and have exterior guide lines through the provided grommets in the sides to stakes on the wind side. ON the ends, I also installed a diagonal (bottom corner wind side to top corner opposite side) tension line to help with racking in the wind. I connect/disconnect it in the middle using a carabiner when I want to drive in/out. If it is going to be extra windy, I'll roll up the sides. After 3 seasons, the bungees have stretched and worn out. Not unexpected. Do not let this happen, as this looseness in the wind causes extra wear. I was considering making my own, when I looked up the Quictent site to see if they can be ordered and realized the bungees are covered under lifetime warranty. An email to customer service and they replied promptly with instructions for getting a new set for free. Thank you Quictent for saving me time and standing behind your warranty on a wear item. For me, the quality of this product, plus that kind of customer service earns 5 stars. I expect to get 3 more years out of mine. If you have less wind I would expect much longer. At current price that is @$56/year and a steal to keep my precious Corvette our of the weather and sun. ... show more

  • So far, so good
Color: White
tl;dr: I think this is about as good as you'll get at this price point. I have waited to post a review until I knew if the tent would make it through a north country winter. It has. I was diligent about keeping snow off the top because I'm not convinced the roof would stand up to a lot of weight. While we got a lot of snow this winter we did not get one huge overnight storm (or a major ice storm) so the roof wasn't really severely tested. It was easy to set up. You really want several other people to help raise the roof but that is a two-minute operation and the rest can be done by yourself. The four walls are separate pieces and there are narrow strips that attach to the corners to cover the gaps. I'm not real impressed by these but so far they have done the job. My biggest complaint is the anchors. You really want some good ground anchors. The pegs that came with mine are not up to the task of keeping this in place in moderate to high winds. I dug up and reused the anchors from my older tent. A lesser complaint is that the two ends flap like crazy in even a moderate wind. So far (six months) they've help up but I worry all that flapping is putting a lot of stress on the seams. We'll see how long they last. So, I suspect you can find a better tent out there but you'll undoubtedly pay more for it. So far (fingers crossed), I'm satisfied. ... show more

  • So worth the money it pays for itself!
Color: White
The main reason I gave four stars instead of five are small design features it doesn't have, like a sleeve at the bottom of the doors for a tube of some sort, to easily roll them up, but no deal breakers for sure. This unit was a little smaller than the other one I was looking at, but the other one was NOT water proof. This far, as a whole, I have been very satisfied with this product. We live in a very windy place so any other reviews that complain about not standing up to wind are bogus! One side of the tent we secured to the concrete driveway with lag bolts, the other side large tent stakes. We used large ground anchors (8) that screw into the ground and ratchet straps (8) between the tent and ground anchors, instead of the rope provided. To date the tent has survived several storms, one of which had gusts up to 65 mph. Worst that happened is one door unzipped itself about halfway. So don't believe the people complaining it blew away, that was THEIR fault, no the manufacturer! Improvements I'd like to see are the above mentioned tube sleeve at the bottom of the door and a way to secure the zippers in the closed position. Other than that, it's awesome! This tent is literally my metal fabrication shop out here in the desert (fiberglass blankets and overhead lights added). If this company wants to have me demo and test stuff for them on my YT channel I would GLADLY do it! BUY THIS TENT! ... show more
