I didn't see any reviews for the loft version (with desk and shelves below) so I thought I would share. Overall I think this loft bed is great. It was delivered in two large heavy boxes and when I opened them up everything was there and it was packed very nicely. All the wood looked good and was quality looking (& feeling). If you are handy you will be able to put this bed together. It took me about six solid hours to put the bed together (I took off work and had the house to myself). Two people may help it go faster, but I doubt very much. Despite other reviews - I thought the instructions were clear and easy to follow. There were only a few hiccups that with a little common-sense you can get past. My greatest challenge was that one of the boards had the screw holes on the wrong side. Someone at the factory figured out that something was wrong, patched the correct holes and then drilled new holes on the others side. Once I discovered their repair I was able to un-do their "fix" and the board worked well. There was also a few times when the bolts didn't go together perfectly so I used a drill maybe 3 or 4 times to make it work. Really all you need is a screw driver, a drill (with bits), and I recommend a dust-buster. Once built the only downside would be that the bed is a little wobbly. I'm planning on installing a two lag bolts through the bed into the walls which I believe will solve that problem. But even if I didn't reinforce I think the wobble is minimal, especially for a 7 year old. I also plan on adding some lights to the desk area. Overall my daughter loves the bed and the parents like it too, especially given the cost. I recommend the loft bed, and recommend setting aside enough time to work on it. ... show more

Helped make my daughter’s room super spacious because of the book shelf and desk attached! Wood could have a little better paint coverage because it’s thin in a couple spots, but great deal for the cost. I assembled myself in good time, though 2 people would have been easier

I recommend this. Ill be generous and gives the product 4 stars. However as one of the the 1st few to buy n utilize this. Here are 4 major items to know and a few big IMPORTANT MESSAGES TO THE MANUFACTURER!! (and make sure this manufacturer provides these items b4 you can buy this...otherwise the product can fall apart ) 1) doesnt come with matress, you can only use a 6inch matress 2) the instructions pg2 is incorrect. Switch step 2 and 3, unless trundle (underneath) bed wheels will end up on top, instead of underneath the trundle (underneath) bed. This wasted a lot of my time. May be a typo in the instructions or manufacturer needs to put one together themselve to see. 4) a lil word for the wise---if you use a screw driver, youll be installing this thing till the nexr yr. USE A POWERED DRILL SCREW DRIVER!!! 5) wheels for the trundle (underneath) bed is not enough. You will need 4 additional wheels for each corner of the trundle (underneath) bed for this essential but unsupprted part of the trundle (underneath) bed in the current design. If you dont the bed will break easily. The manufacturer can solve this design flaw by adding, 4 additional wheels for each corner of the trundle (underneath) bed for this essential but unsupprted part of the trundle (underneath) bed. If i were you, i would ask if the manufacturer has added these 4 additional trundle corner wheels, b4 purchasing this investment.     • Poor quality and not easy to assemble.
Not easy to assemble! Most of the pre market are not accurate at all. The bed is not sturdy. There were several parts that were already cracked/chipped and the quality is very low with a high price tag. The instructions are ok but not grat. The coloring, finishing and texture are poor.

So, the packages are pretty heavy so be careful but when separated the pieces are not as heavy. No where in the instructions stated that a power tool was needed but it was very necessary to complete the task. There were many planks without holes that needed them and it would be difficult without a drill to fix. The quality of the wood is fine for the price but the manufactures workmanship on the build is very poor. I couldn’t even complete the desk because the holes are placed incorrectly for the desk. I am an adult that weighs less than 130lbs it is pretty wobbly but not the worst. It is acceptable. I wouldn’t advise you to get this one. Try for something at IKEA, I just picked it because ikea didn’t have a white loft bed. ... show more
