I ordered this 12-inches-thick mattress in a queen size, which seems accurate, since it fits perfectly on top of my queen size box spring. I don’t have a bed frame beneath that, yet this is plenty elevated without one due to how thick it is. In fact, if it were much higher, with my 5’4 height, it would likely be a challenge for me to get on and off of, so I’m thankful that I don’t have a bed frame. Also, all of my fitted sheets fit exactly as they should. The mattress arrived compressed and rolled up, which made transporting it to the spot where I unleashed it easier than having to carry an expanded mattress thru the house, though it was definitely heavy, like you’d expect of a mattress. Inside its packing box, a safety cutting blade was included to help remove the mattress from the plastic that compressed it. As soon as air breached the plastic barrier, the mattress began to expand. Once fully released, the mattress expanded to its full size almost instantaneously, and it didn’t harbor any foul odor whatsoever, a phenomenon common to compressed goods. This mattress is plentifully thick and absolutely comfortable. Both my husband and I prefer a fairly firm mattress, and this offers that kind of unyielding, supportive nature, just with a bit of luxuriously cushy padding on top. It’s lusciously soft up there, yet it doesn’t sink in much at all, offering complete spinal support. Though we’re both lean people, my husband is still heavier than I am, yet when he lies on his side of the bed, the mattress doesn’t dip even slightly so that I might have to engage my muscles to prevent myself from rolling, which is something I dislike about most softer mattresses. Instead, I can relax completely and fall right asleep. It’s been excellent to sleep on it so far; we’ve both been falling into deep sleeps and staying there until our alarm clocks awaken us. And we’ve been waking up without any kind of back pain or similar issues.

A lot of reputable mattresses are coming to your door rolled up in boxes these days, and it's nice to see this is a well-made one at a good price point. We like the combo of foam and coils rather than all foam, and it has good support--though medium firm is not as firm as I like, so we added an extra firm topper and find the combo very comfortable. Needs fitted sheets with very deep pockets, so none of my old ones will work. It's very heavy & bulky, so expect to need help getting it to the location where you are planning to use it. Even though we were following the instructions for removing the vacuum-sealed plastic wrap, there was a scary moment when the mattress began inflating before we were expecting it to do so. Likely would have caused injury, if one person had been working alone, so be very careful when unpacking it. It's supposed to be 12", but even after allowing it to expand for 24 hours before use, it is only 11" tall. Probably just as well since we put the mattress on a king frame that is 7" tall & 7" box springs, so it is quite high. Not much to complain about--it's good! Though after only a week of use, the quilted top layer began to bunch a little (weight on the sleeping spot seemed to be pushing the filling from there to a spot right below there.) Does not affect comfort. If you bounce on the bed, it makes a squeaky noise, but do not notice any sound with regular sleeping movements.

The media could not be loaded. The mattress is impressive considering it showed up in a much smaller box. First, it’s much heavier than what the box looks like and I needed help carrying it even though one person delivered it. You do actually have to be a bit careful when opening it because once you loosen the plastic covering it starts to expand rapidly (see video). You can hear it expanding but the plastic was still on so it hadn’t full expanded yet. I put it on the bed frame when opening it which makes it easier. Once opened and right side up I let it expand for 12 hours. After the fact, I did see on Amazon under “Top Highlights” it says 24-72 hours for it to fully expand. I had a regular old spring mattress prior so adjusting to a hybrid memory foam mattress took a bit. The one thing I noticed with this mattress is that your bottom sinks in more than other parts of your body. This was a bit strange at first but I got used to it. The mattress is fairly soft but still supportive. It has a lot of give and you have to be careful when getting off the mattress because the edges bend down quite a bit, so you tend to slide off. I have gotten used to it now but for someone that is not stable on their feet it would not be a good idea. The mattress holds up well so far. The stitching is impeccable and it seems to be very well made. It’s very comfortable and easy to sleep on. It does conform to your body and kind of swallows you a little bit. I definitely feel like I snuggle into it. The mattress is also CertiPUR-US and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which means it is free of harmful chemicals. This lets you know that it’s safe for you and your family. I absolutely recommend and I think it’s a great mattress. I am not sure how well the memory foam aspect will hold up long term but only time will tell. For now, I am truly enjoying sleeping on it!!
