They've done a great job of providing instructions and important information so you can access it before opening (which will prove to be important!) My husband and I were able to get it upstairs, but it would be even easier with one or two other people (they recommend a team). Very clear instructions on how to proceed are found on one side, so flip it until you find them and follow them. After it's out of the box, put it on the bed as they recommend!!! For me, I found that the vacuum seal portion started leaking (opening/expanding) before I cut it. I'm pretty sure I didn't nick it prematurely, but this was fine because I didn't even take it out of the plastic binding until it was on the bed and placed appropriately. They provide a little tool (like a letter opener) to remove the first layer so you can unroll it. Anyway, it was cool to watch it expand. It was firmer and thicker than I anticipated and feels very quality. The first night, it felt like the sides (edges) sloped down a little - so much so that I had to scootch over toward the center more than I normally sleep. But, it does state that it takes up to 48 hours to fully expand, and sure enought - the next night, I didn't have that problem. There are no handles on the side of the actual mattress. It has a modest pillow top. The bottom of the mattress is slick making it easy to slide it around on the box springs to adjust its placement. The included picture shows the material that the bottom is made of. It doesn't seem to move around once weight is on it, however. It's a very thick, durable mattress and I'm enjoying it so far! I’ve been using this queen hybrid mattress for a while now, and I’m honestly very impressed. Right out of the box, it expanded quickly and didn’t have a strong odor, which was a great start. The medium firmness is perfect—it’s not too soft and not too hard. It provides excellent support for my back while still feeling comfortable enough to sleep on my side. I’ve noticed a big improvement in how I feel in the mornings, especially with less pressure on my shoulders and lower back. The combination of memory foam and pocket springs really works well. It absorbs movement nicely, so if someone else moves during the night, you barely feel it. That’s a huge plus. Another thing I appreciate is the quality. The materials feel durable and well-made, and knowing it’s fiberglass-free gives me extra peace of mind. Overall, this mattress exceeded my expectations for the price. Comfortable, supportive, and well-built—I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid upgrade without spending a fortune. ... show more
