The media could not be loaded. Tried a lot to fix the hands properly on the DIY clock. The hands move freely even when instructions were followed to affix the clock machine and hands in place. Also, the material is flimsy. The hands bend easily when trying to affix to the machine.

I have an old wall clock, the face of which is formed as the back of a copper frying pan, in the kitchen where the clock mechanism had started to malfunction and lose time, even if the battery was changed. Realizing that it had become necessary to replace the mechanism, I found this item which was a perfect replacement. That it came with two sets of clock hands was very nice, as one was slightly too large, but the other fit perfectly. Highly recommended item.

For the price, you get what you pay for. The clock hands arrived slightly bent and misshapen. They are thin enough that it was easy to bend them back to mostly straight. From a distance you won't be able to tell the hands needed to be adjusted. I appreciate that there are multiple hand options to choose from. Install is easy and straight forward. This mechanism is not silent. I cannot comment on how loud it is because my clock is thick and helps muffle the sound. If you are looking for an inexpensive fix for your broken clock, this is it!
