    • Perfect fit for my early 1990's Howard Miller grandfather's clock

I bought my clock back in the 90's when we moved into our (then) new home. The clock has been great, but when the kids were little, they used to adjust the time by pushing the clock hands and they ended up bending them somewhat. I had tried to find replacements several times over the years and was never really able to find ones that would fit exactly and gave up after a while. I ran across these the3 other day and thought it was worth giving a try. The hardest part of this whole process was measuring the old hands to see which ones to replace them with, and it turned out the the 4 3/4 inch ones were the exact right size so the accuracy was spot on. The process of changing them went very smoothly and these are even a bit thicker than the original ones so they are probably better able to handle being adjusted. So, they look like the original, they fit great, and the price is a bit on the high side, but worth it to get the exact size and shape of hands that Howard Miller clocks need. I typically use the following scale 1 star Unable to test or extremely poor quality (rarely used) 2 star Barely functional or Does not work as designed or promised 3 star Meets published promises, but may not be very useful due to construction or design issues 4 star Meets all requirements for the type of product and has no deficiencies noted 5 star Meets all requirements and goes beyond them (also rarely used) ... show more

I grabbed these clock hands for a repair project, and they ended up being the perfect finishing touch. These hands came all scratched up. Both hands were in a plastic bag and i guess rubbed up against each other and git many scratches and pain chips in them. I can not use them
