It an off screw and only one. That's where my single negative ends. The product came timely, looked good, seemed to be built good. It was not easy putting in as my old lesser quality one came out fully when a piece fell apart just from unbolting it and removing it, right from the old starter. Install was tough, had to use a bolt cutter to finish job and it made it all the much harder. I don't blame the new starter for the problem as it came pretty much simpler woth old bolt removed. However the wires can get in the way and frayed easily so be careful for the close by harness on 2005 escalade. Bolted all up minis the heat shield and tried out. Fyi: before this truck would not start, lights had full power, one headlight and fuses were replaced, starter was tested but it wasnt a good test and alternator came back good. Changed and checked all batteries and that didn't fix. I noticed before I had installed this starter that the old one didn't fire up quickly and took longer then my other lade for sure before it went out. Back to the story: Went to fire it up after install and conclusion correct, started right up! It did have a delay like my old one, but definitely easier to start and fires up everytime so far for the last few months, hasn't left me stranded and works everytime. After many miles and many trips still going strong as it should, hopefully for the life of the vehicles for many years if quality. Thank you and hope this helps someone.

I really did not want to change the starter in my old 2001 Firebird Formula, but it was making a pretty lousy paper weight (too big to move, actually). It was almost unbelievable luck it stopped working in my own garage. I put it off, and fussed with the small relay hoping I wasnt going to have to crawl underneath and deal with it. Heck, it already lasted 14 years! They give you a long bolt because the original has one short one, & this model uses 2 long ones. And yes, it barely fits in such a tight space, way back as far as the front wheel. I did not task myself with moving any extra stuff out of the way. But I finally did it, and it works just fine. I can use smaller paperweights now. And my sport-mobile is BACK! The very affordable price was a great bonus, as the quality and warranty seem to back it up nicely. If your car wont start, you can probably afford to try one of these successfully, assuming you have no other real problems (which may be less likely), It is way more affordable than some starters. I wonder how much it would have cost me to tow my paper weight to the garage & pay labor, for a more expensive starter?

Installed this starter in my 2000 C5 Corvette. Works great, car starts quickly. The only thing keeping this product from getting a 5 star is that it did not include the long bolt feature in the picture!!! Make sure to buy a long bolt to install this product!! This starter has a newer superior design to the original OEM starter for my car. Some earlier model C5 Corvettes featured starters with a small surface area where the "short" bolt attaches to the engine block. This short style had a design defect that would cause the bolt mount to shear off the engine block! The whole engine would have to be pulled to weld on a new mounting point! Fortunately this starter features the two "long bolt" style of mounting, and should be more robust in the long run.

Despite Amazon telling me it would not fit my truck, I checked another website and it appeared to be a match. It's been a few weeks and it's working great. The starter I received was manufactured by "Pure Energy". Additionally, the power rating appears to be 1.7 kw, not the 1.4 kw Amazon lists.

Purchased October of 2023. Started working intermittently at tge 1 year mark. Would require strike with a wrench to come back to life occasionally. Now totally dead. Bad solenoid for sure. The Amazon listing claims 2 year warranty. Do yourself a favor before you buy one and try calling their customer hotline that is required for warranty. I'll say a prayer for you because you won't get a response.

I installed it in my Trans Am LS1 motor. The old design had a long & short bolt. This design had 2 long bolts. They should include 1 long bolt. This is why I removed 1 star. It's also very close to the exhaust pipe. I added heat tape. I couldn't get this starter in past the oxygen sensor so I removed it for easier removal. The added base with the 2 longer bolt design caused clearance issues for me. Original design clears the sensor easily coming out. This was done to make the starter stronger.

So far, so good with this starter. It fit perfectly in my 2008 Silverado 2500HD 6.0. I've only been using it for a couple days but the starter works fine and it even sounds stronger than the OEM starter.

I have installed 2 of these in my '08 Suburban. The install is fine. However, after ~2yrs the solenoid goes (I get the treaded clicking). This 2nd one I had intermittent start issues for about a week, until it finally wouldn't crank anymore. I think the motor and housing is very good. But the solenoid doesn't last. I went with AC Delco Gold for my 3rd. We'll see how that does.
