The factory OEM starter on my 2017 F150 XLT was starting to have intermittent issues turning over from the key switch. To be expected at 220K miles. Ordered this replacement based on price point and general reviews. Took about an hour and half to swap out. The top mounting bolt and nut are a bit tricky. I would recommend having a 1/4 driver and extensions for that one when reassembling the new starter.s Made sure to clean the terminal rings on all the wiring before reconnecting. The ease of install has less to do with the part itself and more to do with the cramped design of the location on the F150. Very little room to work a wrench in spots but once it was installed, truck fired right up on first try every time. No more missed starts. My truck had about 110,000 miles at time of replacement. The bendix went out on the original starter, and I am very pleased with this unit as an exact replacement for the one that came with the truck. I just could not install it myself, as I am older and the top install bolt is out of sight and therefore, difficult to access while lying on the garage floor - even while on jack stands.
