Starter did not fit my truck after being listed on here as compatible. Had to cut and trim the housing on the one bolt. Also had to buy a new bolt to get it to clear. Starter works fine but clearances were not right. It was built out of spec. What should have been a 20min job turned into an all day PITA. However shipping was extremely fast. One star is for fitting and frustration as being listed as compatible. Quality of product seems good. Just wrong information.

Not an easy job to replace. Watch YouTube for the basics. The starter I got from Amazon was an exact replacement. It was the least expensive but so far works just as it should. I suggest removing the wheel and inner fender, so remember to buy the plastic fasteners to replace the inner fender.

Eveything looks well made but didn't fit my 5.3 gen 3 ls with a 4l60 bell housing as shown in a different review oem starter and this starter are not made the same the starter motor are different depths cuasing to not go all the into the bellhousing It might be possible that it's made for a 4l80 bellhousing
