COB LED strip lights offer greater power efficiency than conventional SMD LEDs, and a brighter more even field of light. They are mounted on a heat sink that allows much greater heat abatement, lessening the wear and tear on the diodes, and extending their lives. Nearly all COBs are fully dimmable. If you want an even, bright field of light with a 180 beam angle, this is the way to go.

 Note however that most COB strips are bare tape with the diodes attached, and are not intended to be used in a location where the source lighting diodes are visible. 

 This specific product is a 24v version. These 4000K diodes provide highly accurate color rendering, which means your eyes can “see” the colors being lit by the LED more accurately that cheaper LED strip lights.

 This product contains a whopping 576 LEDs/m, which means absolutely no dark spots or uneven field of light. This product is equipped with 3M tape on the back of the LED strip, and is intended for a one-time installation.

 This product is just the COB strip. No power supply is included. I am using these alongside other similar LED products for a full room lighting installation, and am very pleased with their performance. ... show more

These lights are really very nice lights once you get all the bits you need to make them work. As stated, they do not come with a power supply or controller/dimmer. If you lack experience in matching electrical components you may wish to give these a pass and instead purchase a kit that provides everything you need. If you are electrically savvy enough to purchase the correct accessories these can be excellent lights: they are accurate in color temperature and CRI and are extremely bright. I installed them in my kitchen as under-cabinet lights and usually only need them at 60-70% brightness. They display like a continuous strip of light; you cannot appreciate the individual light cells unless they are very dim, and you can never see individual cells in the emitted light (no dark spots on the counter where the strips are). The adhesive stuck poorly to the unfinished wood under my cabinets, but some good double-sided tape took care of that. The backing can be difficult to peel off the light strip, especially if you lack fingernails. ... show more

I really like the ease of installation, how well the adhesive holds the LED strip to my old walls, and how bright and uniform the light strip is. I put these above the cabinets to provide some nice, extra indirect light. The 6,500k is a cool white color and may seem a bit harsh to some, but is bright and very good for task lighting, like in a kitchen. The lights do not get too hot when they are unrolled off the spool and installed correctly. If left on the spool and operated the concentrated LED strip will get hot, so don't do that. This strip is longer than many I've seen at 32.8 feet (10 meters). At 12 watts per meter the whole strip is 120 watts, so be sure to match the power supply to the load your running. I'm quite happy with these lights for task lighting. I might add a strip of 2,700k lights for a calmer mood lighting effect and switch between them, or put dimmers on both for more options. ... show more

I use them under the cabinets in my workshop and it gives a good amount of light. I added the lights behind a separate switch, so they can be turned on near the door when you walk in. I would improve them by adding the cables and remote. It is not bad, but it definitely did not beat my expectations. Some instructions would also have been nice, but that is ok. I would buy them again, if they had the remote, right now i think there are other options that fit that better. ... show more

Me and my roommates just set these up at our college house in our dining room. It is a perfect amount of light to have that isn't too too bright but just perfect for in the room. It is a warm white lighting which was the goal for us around the whole house. It is easy to install and does have pretty good adhesion on the wall. Installed in my garage under some old cabinets that hold tools. The light is bright, I don't see flicker and there are no hot spots. I put this in aluminum channel with no diffuser. It adheres well, even in this dusty area.
