The assembly was extremely simple, and the overall fit and finish are quite good. In use, the press runs smoothly with minimal vibration, which is important for accuracy. It’s clearly designed as a benchtop unit for lighter-duty work. The throat depth allows drilling roughly 4 inches from the column, and the spindle travel supports holes up to about 2 inches deep. That’s more than adequate for most DIY and hobbyist applications. The motor provides enough power for typical tasks, and speed changes are handled in the standard way—by adjusting the belt across pulleys under the top cover. It’s a straightforward system that works well, even if it requires a quick manual adjustment. One thing I like is that it strikes a nice balance in weight: heavy enough to stay stable during use, but still manageable to move and store when needed.
