With just 1 yd., you'd think you're limited in what you can do with this, however, much of the fabric sold in stores are 36 or 45 inches wide. This fabric is 55" wide. That little difference in width makes a huge difference in using your fabric efficiently and gives you a bigger bang for your buck. The width really affects how you lay out and cut your pattern pieces, which in turn affects how much fabric you use—and how the final piece looks. BTW, this difference in width makes it a terrific backdrop. If you always wanted to experiment with silky, satiny fabric, this is the one to try. this satin is amazing & once you iron it, it’s very soft. i recommend ironing it on medium heat. it’s lightweight as well and the color is pretty accurate. i was able to sew a gorgeous ruffled bonnet.
