I washed the towel *according to the care instructions,* and the fringe trim began to unravel immediately because it was not sewn down effectively at the edge. I had to carefully reweave & tie off not one but two of the horizontal rows of the the trim thread to prevent continued unraveling that would eventually result in the fringe separating from the towel, were it to continue. Once the threads detach from the stitching at the edge, they continue to unravel at the slightest touch, making repair a delicate operation. I wasn’t sure if this towel would be worth the money but i would say it’s very adorable in person! Based on the texture and the tassels i would say this would last a decent amount of time but the towel it’s self is on the thinner side compared to my real beach towels. I think it’s a little too expensive for a beach towel especially when it’s so thin but i’ve been wanting it since last summer so i gave in. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The pattern is beautiful and the fringe makes this special, however the dye job on the velour isn’t great. As someone who works in the clothing industry, I would expect a better dye job on a $65 beach towel. I tried brushing it a bit with my fingers to make it looks better to no avail. A little thin for the fabric too. Pretty bummed over here tbh, might have to return this. ... show more
