I love these bowls. Got them today. Just finished washing and drying them. They are thick glass. I love these bowls ribbing on the outside -it makes them look nicer than just smooth glass. The lids fit tightly and they stack well. The largest one is really big and will be good for a large dessert or salad. The other smaller ones are just bigger than my 4 cup Pyrex bowls so it gives me many options for leftovers. No more plastic in the microwave. It couldn’t have been safe and we should have known that without someone telling us. Shame on me for using it even though it said BPA Free. Perfect for what I needed and exactly as expected. The bowls have a fluted exterior that provides a textured surface that won't slip in wet hands, and a smooth interior for easy cleaning. The lids snap on easily and stay securely in place for storing and transporting food. They're very substantial and the lids are excellent quality as well. Unlike some other reviewers, all three of the bowls I received matched each other - clear with a slight green tinge visible along the edge. They're wide and shallow which is great for tossing salads and combining ingredients, but be aware that if you're using an electric handmixer, liquid could splash out as the sides aren't as high as most mixing bowls made for that task which tend to be taller with a smaller diameter. ... show more

I LOVE these!! They're very classy and high quality. My first box of them I received the lids were warped, but the second set fit very well. The lids fit very snugly and are almost water tight. Very easy to clean and use. The glass it thick and durable but not obnoxious.

Was gifted a set of glass bowls that are not these; They were not tempered glass like Pyrex is. Ended up eating some glass bits. I really like these, need the largest from time to time but I wish I could buy just 3 of the middle size, as well. That is the perfect size for me to mix various things so that they don't spill while mixing and folding. This set would be even better if they came with the silicone lids rather than the stiffer plastic lids, that crack sooner rather than later, specially if you ever put them in the freezer. I'm buying a second set as I really need another of the medium size = 2 quarts (with half inch spare room) = 8 cups. ... show more

I love this mixing bowl set, they are lovely enough serve large salads and sides also. They came with lids so that is perfect for make ahead dishes. Very nice design and they have a nice weight.
