This is a great little amplifier for the price. Clean sound, however just a slight buzz when linked with blue tooth, as it can be heard with volume down, but with volume up, and music playing you can't hear it. May be caused by all the radio signals in house with all of todays electronics. Blue tooth links up fast, and when powered up with 12 volt DC Battery, it comes on with power switch in off position. This little amplifier deliver great quality of sound. You can feel the difference when you turn the knob. It’s a good size I can places under the TV. The price is good. Quality much better than other mini amplifier, like Norsound which with over 2000 reviews. I compare both of them: Price: price is about the same, this one $10 more, but the sound quality is huge difference. The body size: this one of course bigger, but compared with Sony, it definitely smaller. If you are looking for mini, you can go with Norsound. Again if you want to choose high quality sound, this may doing better job. Safety: this seems more stable not easy over heat. Norsound’s body gets hot after 30 mins, and the connection not stable.     • Great little amp for the money!
This amp works great for the money. I had some 4" 4 ohm car speakers that I wanted to build cabinets around, so I needed an amp that would be stable down to 4 ohms. This little guy fit the bill perfectly. The sound quality is good and it powers my little 4" speakers to ear-splitting levels with as much bass as the speakers can put out. There are a number of ways to measure power and the advertised 100 watts a side is by one of the more dubious, but most commonly used, measurements. It provides more than enough power for all but the largest rooms. The Bluetooth connects to both my and my spouse's Android phones flawlessly, The FM tuner works very well, although the preset tuning is less than ideal. It does power up to Aux mode if you use the power switch. If you use the remote to turn it "off", it goes to your last used input when you turn it back "on", but the remote doesn't really turn the unit off. All-in-all I would definitely buy the Pyle Pda29bu again. There are some quirks, but for the money it's well worth it! ... show more

Wanted an FM receiver for my work shop and did not want to break the bank, especially in an environment that can be dusty. This little "mite" was a great option. Easy to hook-up. Easy to use. Tuning quality is top notch. Antenna works well, especially tuning in and holding one particular station that I use that is remote and a weak signal. Really impressed. Does not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive units, but dollar for dollar this receiver is perfect for my application. Do not need and did not want a receiver with so many options that I would never use. This receiver is a gem and you won't go wrong purchasing it. ... show more

    • No frills 2 chan receiver that gets the job done excellently.
If all you need is something to hookup your passive speakers to a turntable, 8 track, CD, casette player or anything else then this nails it. If you go to a big box store you'll be relegated to 5 channel receivers that cost $400+. I guess it's assumed that if you're buying a receiver you must be setting up a home theater system. I would say that the sound on this is better than an Insignia receiver I bought a few years back at Best Buy. It's crisp and clear with simple but effective adjustability between base and treble which you won't get on a play device that comes with a pre-amp preinstalled (as many turntables do nowadays).     • Buzz and noise from poor isolation
I like the design and functions, music sounds good and Bluetooth connection is easy. But speaker hum and buzz is really bad even when volume down. Bluetooth connection to my laptop for movie playing was worse, could hear the buzz at every silent moment. Others have mentioned same thing. Would not recommend based on this issue. I guess ok value givent it's so cheap but a bummer, and didn't hook it up until after return window. Oh well! ... show more

    • The little amp that could
I bought this amp to drive a pair of Infinity Primus P163 bookshelf-size speakers that were originally a part of a surround sound set up and were in storage for several years. This amp has a compact footprint – about the size of an after-market car stereo. Bluetooth mode was super easy to set up and I was ready to stream audio from my phone apps. Let’s talk about the sound. I did feel a difference in the sound driven by the big boy amps in terms of warmth and fidelity. Then again, I was unfair in that comparison and need to keep the price point in perspective. For under 50 dollars, this packs plenty of power which is adequate for the volume levels I require. It got plenty loud without distortion. The remote layout is uninspired and I didn't need it because all the controls are available on the unit itself. There’s a noticeable hum in the speakers when the amp is on and no music is playing. It didn’t bother me. I haven’t tested the mp3 playback using the USB flash drive or the SD card input modes, however other reviewers have noted that lack of a shuffle mode for playing songs is a disappointing omission. I’m not sure if this will bother me if I ever get to use these input modes. Interestingly, it also comes with two mic inputs – which if they work well, could be nice for a party set up. All in all, there’s not much to dislike, it’s an amazing little stereo amp. I just hope it has a long life. ... show more
